JR Smith, the guy who flashes gang signs after baskets and tweets pictures of random women on the street bending over is a great guy?

Well, I don't know him personally, he might be the nicest man on the planet, but he's dumb. And the dumb carries over to basketball.

Let me issue this.....

Sometimes the Knick fanbase boggles my mind. You stick with this team back when we hyped up Randolph Morris and Jackie Butler being saviors of the franchise and when Eddy Curry was a top 3 scorer for us but now despite all of these follies and getting through so many rotten years to now have a playoff contender that can be a threat in the East possibly, you decide to jump ship?

This franchise has had some awful bumps down the road and now the fans are being rewarded with a product that puts those shameful teams to bed. If you don't want a part of rooting for a competitive team, than your just lost. Sorry.

The only time to hit the panic button is if Isiah is officially back with the team in some sort of capacity(Not this rumored stuff, until its concrete). Lin was a very solid player and gave us all a treat BUT lets not put the kid up in some ungodly pedestal. We will see how Lin does in Houston and on a team that's basically been gutted.

Plain & Simple "It's all about Business"

What part of this don't people understand...

but it doesnt make business sense to not match. lin can still be traded down the line. its not business at all imo. if the knicks dont match it's because dolan is mad at lin... which is personal, not business.

Thought we'd at least match Lin's offer just to deal him later on in the season for some pieces or to rid Amar'e & his contract if he gets worse.

Whatever, I'm cool with the team. Let's fill the rest of the roster out & get to work.

Yao sold him on Houston and Lin ate it up.

I haven't spoken on Melo or J.R, but if you question Lin's character before questioning Melo's or J.R's given their history, I don't know what to tell you. Use some common sense.

Melo and JR didn't go back, behind the Knicks backs, and re-negotiate for a better deal. Lin was the one who was money hungry, and it cost him. It's not a coincidence he went to Yao's former team.

We ain't hear this crap while JR was deciding where to play this past season. or when he was on the Knicks making plays for us, but as soon as Lin is RUMORED to be gone this is what happens. People need to grow the f**k up.

Even Dallas let Steve Nash walk, and after all these years....who has the ring?

Cuban acknowledge that was the biggest mistake he ever made. Bad example.

And they won a chip, and were robbed by the refs in another. It worked out well for him.

I see what you're saying. Don't think it's comparable.

We know what this core is capable, and it's nothing. The window to build isn't ten years like Dirk in Dallas. A luxury this team doesn't have. We've effectively closed out only window, imo.

Some posters on here are going to far. Period. What happened to JR's friend was bad, and there was no need to bring that up right now.

Greeny.. I never liked the guy to begin with... I didn't want him on the team, period. He's dumb as rocks on the floor.. and an imbecile off the court. Guys want to prop him up... I'm going to tear him down.
