The pitch is the same to everyone: expand your brand.

That's all they can offer right now. Coming off 17 wins, they obviously can't sell winning.

But yeah, let's keep perpetrating the myth that KP's injury will haunt him forever.

Good job MSG PR. Get a radio show to spew your agenda.

To be fair, DSJ isn’t 7’3 & is way more athletic than KP.

What's the list of nba bigmen that came back from an ACL and fulfilled their promise?

Julius Randle is starting to grow on me as an option. My only concern is the amount of shots he’ll take away from the other budding young scorers.

Not him being a worse defender than Kanter?

There's not a lot of bigmen that had it, but many have made full recoveries. Al Jefferson had it.

Now list the players that came back from an Achilles. It's not a long list. It's Dominique Wilkins.

Oh and Durant is 7 feet as well. Only 3 inches shorter than KP, so the whole height thing is moot.

And he had an extra ligament in his knee which helped him recover better. I can bet that KP doesn’t have one lol

The other argument in my opinion would be asset management. We've seen the Warriors struggle to maintain depth around their core players. The Lakers will face the same issue. We have a treasure trove of assets with young players on team-friendly rookie deals and more draft picks coming from Dallas, all of which could also be used in trades. We have the assets to build a deeper team. Whether that's convincing enough, I'm not sure, in fact I don't think so. But it's worth mentioning.

He played almost 50 games the year before (48). He would have played this year, but he was still on his rookie contract. There's no way in hell anyone is coming back without a new contract. Because the Knicks didn't want to give him one, he was never going to play this year.

Now look at Durant. He's out for a year at least. Plus it's going to take another year for him to get acclimated again. You're looking at 2 years when you see him at full strength, and by that time he's 33.

He was never coming to the knicks come on. KD versus Lebron and AD. NY vs. LA. Hes from southern California and even if he wasn't whos picking NY over LA as a NBA player.

Uhh, the Knicks were on his list of 4 teams that he would like to be traded to last year. There were huge debates of whether the Knicks should offer KP for him.
