Re: PG: God Bless Our Little Miracle Victory
All Ill say on Jalen is he simply has to pass more.
8-26 and 8-29 so far.
Donte, OG, Deuce, Bojan, and now Josh can shoot.
If Jalen is going to be doubled and swarmed every play, then he must adjust and kick it out to them. Make the right reads and dont force too much. We’re up 2-0, but he clearly went into hero ball mode at the end in this one.
The narrative is we dont have another legit scorer, but we have guys who can make shots. Use them. It will free Jalen up more in return as well. Basketball 101. Im sure everyone is telling him to keep shooting, but still got to be smarter.

At the end of the interview, Divo said THEY PRACTICE THIS SITUATION - a dagger 3, missed shot, rebound and another 3 point attempt.
Fuqqing Thibs makes them practice this -- so they're ready. It's better than a lot of stuff NBA players do between games. Just ask Ja Morant.
These guys don't wanna work or get coached up, they want sh*t handed to them. It's a shame what the league has become.
Kendrick Perkins has tweeted that more than once recently. Players don't want to work so hard to win - they want to play like it's an Allstar game. But the best players seem to love Thibs' system -- and the best fans love it, too!

The feeling after that Divi 3 was an unexplainable moment. The Garden was electric. Just an insane atmosphere inside and outside the arena. It was one of the greatest moments in sports I've ever experienced - maybe the greatest.
Incredible feeling. Still don't have many words for it. Loved every minute of being there - except when we were losing at the end with Brunson bricks.
If there is anything to be concerned about, it's Jalen Brunson. Guy has looked absolutely horrible the first 2 games. His misses are way off. He doesn't look comfortable at all. Is the Sixers gameplan that good or is there something else going on? I've never seen him play this terrible. And he was taking too many shots at the end of the game for being so cold. I'm glad that 3 bounced in but, man, he was awful. Maxey has been outplaying him. I hope Thibs will change it up and give him a better opportunity to succeed.
Encouraging to win with Brunson playing terrible but we need him to get back to his game if we want to make real noise.
Other than that, very happy to be a part of the festivities last night.
And most importantly - **** EMBIID.
their has been a lot of overly aggressive hand checking by batum and oubre on Brunson.

I still remember him from his days working with the Sixers in Philly with their post game shows on comcast sportsnet when I lived in Delaware. And was shocked to learn he was a a Knicks fan afterwards when he became more mainstream.
I still think it's all an act with him.

Yep but it's actually insane. I suggest people watch that pass from multiple angles in slow mo to truly appreciate it.
He falls down after surrounded by like 4 Sixers, and passed it through the ONLY window possible while falling to OG. It's seriously insane.
saw an athletic article today that suggests it's something they practice. that coaching.

He'll adjust... he's too smart and too much of a winner not to. The more he finds the open man when they double/triple him in the paint, the more he'll find himself open as the game progresses because Philly will have to stay at home more. There were several times when JB went into hero mode even when there was still time on the clock and he was triple teamed... he could have easily found DDV or OG for wide open three's. And, inevitably, more of Jalen's runners are going to start falling. He's rushing a bit too much though give Philly defenders credit.

If the way they are defending him means taking 10 fewer shots so be it. Work on finding the open man. It'll be the same result with Philly sending 6-7 dudes at him all game.

In the 2nd half, he did a better job at times finding iHart for floaters... he's gotta keep finding iHart or shooters and trust that those guys will make their shots and/or they'll keep the ball moving to find a better shot... or to find Brunson on a secondary curl.
We also have to do a better job on Maxey and Embiid.... Against Embiid there were several times where iHart and Mitch let him shoot from the perimeter... we gotta crowd him and make him put the ball on the floor which he doesn't want to do. On Maxey, I think we have to hard double him more to make him get rid of it because he's been on fire this series. I'd take my chances with others.

some will say that final Boston game in the regular season doesnt matter. I would disagree...
I think youre right Brunson needs to look to pass more and let the game come to him. I expect the knicks to go into Philly
with the same energy they had when the played Boston on the road. I think this group performs when the pressure is on.
While I believe the pressure is on Philly (0-14 when trailing 2-0) the Knicks do not want to go back home 2-2...

Re: PG: God Bless Our Little Miracle Victory
So last night has to be the best Knick playoff moment at MSG in the last 25 years right?
The 2004 team got swept by Jersey.
The 2011-13 Melo playoff runs didnt have many memorable moments. Ending the Big 3 Celtics was their best accomplishment.
The 2021 team only won 1 game, which was at MSG, and 2023 had its bigger moments in Cleveland, like closing it out in Game 5. Game 5 against Miami at MSG had a nice comeback from us.
The truth is, as great as last night was, it wont mean much if they lose the series. Philly is on the ropes, so finish em off. No Rocky sh*t.

I think it's a misunderstanding because last night DiVincenzo was talking about how they practice the last minute shots and last minute execution stuff like that but I don't think they literally mean Hartenstein falling to the floor and passing it to OG is a practiced play or something like that

just caught up to twitter. man Embiid is just an unlikeable soft player. always injured, always underperforming in the playoffs, whining about the refs.. I don't see how could ever win a title with him as your best player. no chance.

I see the clip of Monica McNutt already posted. I can't get over her poise on that call and great breakdown. She's so good in her relatively young broadcasting career. Always look forward to her post game recaps. Hope we can keep her on as she's already doing national ESPN coverage. And yes great call by O'Keefe too. Perfectly captured the moment.

Randle notwithstanding I’m just happy we get to witness the unreal team chemistry and grit of this current crew.
Sorry, mate, but you're outta your mind. Once OG got here, that chemistry clicked for everyone -- including Randle.
That’s a big fat “maybe.” What’s 100% definitely sure is that we wanted Brunson, Donte, Josh, OG and iHart on the court to finish Game 2.
If you're going to definitely assume that, I'll assume definitely the scoreboard is different. The sample size sucks, but if you look back to Nets game back in January, it gives you an idea on what kind of late game lineups you'd see with Randle. Unless Randle was having a brutal game, I can't imagine a world where the lineup isn't at minimum JB, Randle, and OG. Against the 76ers, I'd say I-Hart is close to definite. From there you figure if you need Hart's rebounding or Donte's shooting.
But again, I think we're looking at a different scoreboard.
