OT: NY Yankees 2025 Season Thread (Hal is cheap, Brian is dumb)

Whelp...Yankees now going to try and trade for a third baseman, balk at the price, and then we end up with some journeyman...when we all knew they needed to get another infielder all offseason.

Reminds me of how their dumb idea not to get another starting pitcher last offseason might have cost us a world series.

Cuse Hal thinks we are a small market team. He kept insisting on trading Stroman and his salary before taking on a decent 3rd baseman. Now we are signing flim flam left and right hoping to catch lightning in a bottle.

Jazz back to 2B. We stopped catering to Hal's cheap mistake.

So damn annoying how much Hal's refusal to pay for Harper or Machado has cost us. If we had one of them instead of DJLM, we might have a ring right now. Now DJLM has become an excuse to not pay for free agents.

Can't blame DJLM, although I disliked what his contract turned into. My ire is reserved for Hal and Cashman. If they wanted to run this team like the Rays, they need to be prepared to do shyt like the Rays. That means when DJLM was about to expire and he was older, they should have traded him. I feel like we can add up all the dumb financial moves we've made, just to avoid paying Harper 25.4 million dollars a year. Wasted money on Donaldson for no reason. Wasted money on Hicks for no reason. Wasting money on DJLM right now. Probably wouldn't have been so desperate for Soto last year. Needing to get raped in the trade market for a third baseman or waste another year of Judge's prime.

Yea…the ironic thing was the other day, I got really pissed at Boone for bringing in a scrub reliever who promptly gave up a home run to Raleigh…during a blowout.

Alright...for some positive news, Spencer Jones is legit killing it in Triple AAA. I don't think we can move this guy. He looks like another big-ass monster beast we have in our outfield.

Of course, we're trying to get Suarez from the Diamondbacks, who want Jones bad...which is some dumb ass shyt. Everyone knew we needed help at 2B/3B during the offseason.
