Nah, I'll just say it's not a great sign that coach feels the need to make a public ass-kissing comment. My choice as an informed skeptic is to believe that any comment referencing Dolan has been previously vetted by the MSG-Dolan-PR machine, which tells me there's some reason why JD needs his ass kissed at this particular moment. I'm guessing this is just Leon and Thibs covering their own asses in case of an early-season losing streak so Dolan doesn't go full-Mad King (like he did w/the Rangers).

No.

Randle’s head is tilted down. Look at their shoulders. RJ is an inch or two shorter.

The main thing is that RJ has long arms and plays big. He's strong. If you think of him as big, his skills are decent.

RJ and Randle look less than an inch difference in height even though Randle has higher shoulders but RJ's neck is longer so it may be kinda deceptive looking in this pic.

What strikes me is how RJ is about as burly as Randle is in the chest and shoulders, if Randle is around 240 then RJ is in the 220s and looks like he can now match up with most SFs in the league.

Edit... better pic with both standing more straight up.

I’ll believe it when I see it as far as Noel or Mitch shooting 3s regularly. That mental block is hard for some guys to clear when they haven’t been used to doing it their entire careers

You said it. In the long term, RJ's most natural position is going to the 3, which has as much to do with his bulk as his height.
While it's true that he's so far been scoring a lot by bullying smaller guards, he should rely a bit less on that as his offensive game grows.
Even though he moves his feet fairly well, as he matures, I think he'll be more capable defensively at 3.
