If the wiretap was the actual deal, I think that is actually fair.

Felton for Billups is an upgrade for us.

Melo is an upgrade over Chandler and Gallo.

They said three starters and named 2 out of three, Chandler has to be the third.

But Walsh is playing his hand, I'm not mad if this were true but chances are that would be the deal most likely.

I am very torn on losing Felton but we better get this deal done

Just say no Donnie. I would pull the trigger if they take out the request for another starter.

Third starter = no picks. Simple.

Deng + Gibson + Johnson + Charlotte's Pick + Their own Pick. They probably add more to get JR Smith. Its pointless (I should know since I am a Bulls fan) because all they want is Noah and there nothing to see here if he is not involved. Not sure why Isola mentioned them (maybe because CA would sign an extension with them).

Third starter is Mozzy, Amar'e or Fields. They can suck it. No deal.

That's what I was wondering since they don't seem like a good trading partner with what they have to offer outside of Noah.

Felton+Gallo+Curry+pick (through a AR trade most likely) would actually be a fair deal overall. Billups is a much better fit for SSOL due to his shooting and Melo is the second superstar. I'd personally also like to keep Chandler over Gallo because IMO Chandler is simply the better player.

Billups
Fields
Melo
Stoudemire
Mozgov

with Douglas,Chandler,Turiaf off the bench is not only a 55win team, it can also challenge Atlanta,Chicago and Orlando in the playoffs. All things considered that'd be a great accomplishment. Fields and Melo give us tremendous rebounding at the wings and Billups and Fields shoot the 3 ball well.

Why do they insist on trading Billups? Billups wants to stay in denver and is loved there and is not needed for a Knicks deal. I dont get it.

My guess is we offer up Chandler and remove Felton. Eddy, Chandler, Gallo and pick is what I expect the deal to be.

What i take from this is Denver is a player now and those reports of them hanging on to Carmelo are false. Now we have 2 weeks to work with them and hopefully close a deal.
