You’re interested in playing the middle. You don’t do “sustained builds” when you star player is 31 and taking up 1/3 your cap and you’re literally starting from ground zero to build around him.

Robinson, Dotson and Vonleh can be solid role players. Knox can be good too if he keeps progressing. Those guys would be better if in the right role next to two Superstars and I wanna emphasize superstars because just saying two stars is kinda vague. Kyrie and KD are as elite as it gets so its a little different than say a Kemba and Jimmy Butler combo.

There's no doubt the Knicks are a playoff team with Kyrie and KD but can they win a title with that supporting cast? Remains to be seen but most of the teams you listed Greenie are still trying to answer that question with what they got.
