Starr was generally regarded as the top pick of the draft. George is a high upside pick - a good pick at 24.
Are they planning on being bad next year . . . probably, but I don't think they did badly this draft.
Meh. I’d need to be in their war room and know their plan before declaring them winners.
I said "don't think they did badly". I agree with your point. The Wiz have a lot to prove before they can be declared winners, though I think Starr saying no to Atlanta, helped them. (why is Washington OK but Atlanta is not? Can anyone shed some light on that??).
The Wiz are playing the Tankathon, plain and simple. They hope to draft enough good players to eventually win. It's a common strategy.
Go Knicks!! Go Mets!!
As for the Jets . . . just keep it entertaining.

Where’s Channing Frye when you need him?

Bring Pacome over here, have him train with our staff. Still need to fill out roster spots so what's the difference?

Right?
tbh, that looks like a fantastic trade, if you imagine you are going to be drafting 22-27 if you had your FRPs.
Brock made out like a bandit, afaics.
Well, it seems that all this maneuvering has saved the Knicks more than $3mil in cap space for this season which could be the difference between being hard capped or not if they do keep iHart while still being able to add all those super-duper valuable picks!!!
All kidding aside about the picks this was all about clearing cap space this season and adding a little future draft capital for a single pick in a purported weak draft. They still might add a couple of rooks from the 2nd round but we know they are long shots to see any floor time with this roster.
Completely agree. Seems like a really well done draft. Even screwed the Wiz out of the low 2nd round pick this year.

basically the draft is an auto skip for us while leon is in office, we’re finally good again so i can’t be mad
I think that he he’s trying to keep as much cap space available as possible for this season.

dont know how much it matters
we cant offer I hart more than 16 anyway

It still stings but every year we are desensitized more…..![]()
I wonder was the Mikal and OG signings done to keep the fanbase from suffering?
You’ll be fine when we win 60 games this coming season.

What he wants and what the Knicks want are 2 different things.
If they really wasted a pick on this dude to NOT stash him I'm about to egg Leon tomorrow.
Thank you, Rick Brunson.

That's exactly what this is about! They're trying to open up salary to bring back iHart and avoid the apron penalty.
Or, in other words, do you want iHart or do you want (fill in the blank) rookie tonight who won't play??

I think it's telling as to what they think of Pacome that they drafted him while trading down and then out of 26th pick. They must really like him.

Has any draft and stache ever played a meaningful role for the Knicks in their history let alone any significant minutes beyond a look-see? I can't think of one.
