If I'm reading things right, they're paying him to come off the bench, which is mind boggling to me if this is true. He's going to be the 1st one axed when the time comes.

I still think 4/$72.5M is better than 2/$58M.

his 3rd year isn't guaranteed but he prob will either get that full amount or re-up on another deal. so either way he's going to get a ton more than knicks could have gave him (unless he falls off or gets injured etc)
