Colin Cowherd ‏@ESPN_Colin
There are lots of bad NBA contracts and lots of overpaid guys but Lin's deal seems to really bother some players. Why?

Pretty obvious if you ask me...

He can't go left.

The funny thing is that we have parted ways with many of the guys who were key to Linsanity:

Lin
Jeffries
Fields
Walker

Linsanity wouldn't have happened if JR was on the court chucking.

I don't know why but I loved Billy Walker. I was annoyed when we let him go even though I probably verbally assaulted the TV when he played at times.

you all like billy when he shot 0-9 and wasted melos game 2 performance against BOS? there is a reason hes gone

He was waived to make room for Gadzuric not JR. JR was already on the team.

It gonna be really hard to root for the Knicks this season if they don't resign Jeremy. Not because of Jeremy the player, but because of Dolan the owner.

It's like any other job, if you have been doing it for 10 years and made 20/hr and you found out a new guy who just came in is making 25/hr, you would be jealous too.

No offense, but you're delusional right now if you think they are bringing Lin back especially after JR's recent comments.

I sometimes believe lins success and his racial background make alot of the players in the league salty.

I love Lin and absolutely want him back, but Lin hasn't exactly been infallible in this situation either. So I can see both sides.

Jarrod Gillis: obvious that there will be some jealousy issues. Players already talking. Not a good sign. If I'm Lin I may want to just go to HOU anyway 1 minute ago

Anyway, I'm not trying to be divisive. But you guys don't really get how close to abysmal failure we are.

I really don't want you to be rooting with hope against hope for Ray Felton to get us over the hump.

I respect and admire all Knicks fans and ESPECIALLY the wholly positive ones -- so I have no beef with you guys at all and wouldn't disrespect you -- but I can't stand with you this time.

This would be the epitome of shooting ourselves in the foot. It would wreck our chances and wreck any real hope you could have as a fan.

So it's not about being a jerk -- I'll never go there. I hope to death I'm wrong and Lin stays.

But I have the benefit of 29 years of being a fan. I see where this is going and until the final nail is in the coffin, I'm going to speak the truth.

This is a totally unacceptable turn of events.
