I turned it off when he said a neutral front office would have given the picks with no protections. We're not in the position to be trading unprotected picks, let alone ones that far out, only people who want to be mad about something are upset we didn't do that.

If we keep trading back and out of drafts and won't ante up for a 25 yr old all star ascending player at an area of biggest need we have no hope. All we did was take care and prioritize a CAA family member. For the record Murray to me is twice as attractive as DMitch even.

Twice is a stretch, but if there’s no Jalen Brunson, and it’s between Mitchell at the 2 or Murray at the 1… I might go Murray too. Just didn’t make sense having him next to Brunson at all.

People who wanted Murray just got caught up in the FOMO of trade/free agency, we potentially have our guy in Brunson, who will most likely be a 20ppg scorer with increased usage, and most importantly he has proven he can play off ball dominant players. Murray is one of the most ball dominant players in the league, he can't shoot off the ball and you're trying to add that to a team that has two other players that need the ball. It's not a smart move at all, less if you know the history of teams trading future picks like that, example, Tatum and Brown were Nets picks.

Very.. they’d be exploited every night

They dont have to play all 33-34 minutes together. In fact they could be paired only 20 minutes give or take depending on match ups. Also Mitchell can be a good perimeter defender and has a 6'10 wingspan.

If we came away with Mitchell R/Hartenstein (better stretch 5) at 5, Randle/Obi at 4, RJ and maybe Grimes at 3, Mitchell/IQ/RJ at 2, Brunson/IQ/McBride at 1

That would be a very very improved team over last years.

- We sign a backup big
- We make a trade at the deadline for a playoff push
- We win play in game and advance

I don’t think it’d comparable to the picks we own from the other teams. Those things are gunna end up as 2nd rounders, not top 5 picks.
