That's what we all think but it is not always the case. These sites do their best to see how well two people could mesh. That's what they get paid mega bucks for. And it is just easier. You don't have to ask too much questions to make one feel interrogated. Theres no awkward openers or embarrasing shootdowns because people are more open online than in person. As you speak to the person more and more before meeting you get a feel of how they are and you feel more comfy when you finally meet them and things move a lot quicker.
