Over the summer and early in the season I was one of the most vocal and ardent posters who desperately wanted to trade Amare. I wanted him gone before the injury, and the injury only emboldened me into being more vehement that Amare was done as a player.
I think what surprises me most about Amare coming back and playing so far is how selfless he's been as a player.
Remember when Amare had like 8 games scoring 30pts or more? And he was just bulldozing into guys 3on1 half the time into the paint? Times have changed and so has Amare. I just couldnt foresee this. He's simply been spectacular.
Only Woodson could figure out that Amare-Chandler-Melo could work, but only if Amare had a post game.
I've seen more improvement out of Amare's hustle, rebounding, defense, and awareness in these two weeks than I think 2 years combined prior. Clearly this is not the same player that we've grown accustom to seeing.
I was wrong on Amare, and I guess it's better to get it out now than later.
Just don't expect one for Shumpert next though.
Respect. Nice from you to put your opinion in front ahead of ego. Just great
