BR, I know and I appreciate it, but I'm just saying.. I think he's a lot closer to the 2011 Dirk than the 2012 Dirk.

Linyourface, I'll emphasize again that I appreciate the rankings, took time and courage. I'll just say, in defense, of my team.. yes, Dirk was worse last year than before, but my previous posts were explanations of why he was/evidence that it was an anomaly and why we should expect better seasons going forward.

As far as Felton and RIp having bad years.. Well, Felton averaged 11 and 7 and that is all I need. Moreover, if he is not effective, I might have the best backup PG in Beno Udrih who could easily slide into the starting lineup. Heck, even Toney Douglas could start on this team as my pg just needs to play defense in shoot not really create (that's Joe and Dirk's job). Rip averaged 12ppg last year, and again, that is all I want from him.. for him to run around screens and get up when Joe, Dirk, Horford draw a double team. If RIp can't handle it then I start Ben Gordon, or even Delfino. That's the biggest thing, if someone is down on Felton and Rip they should recognize that Beno and Ben Gordon (two very capable starters) are right behind them to take their starting jobs

Lin Your Face wrote:Quincy Miller's knee is still a legitimate issue. He apparently didn't work hard enough in rehab and that messed up his knee. We'll see how he does in the future, but this knee damage was clearly bad enough to scare off a lot of teams.

Which is why the **** he dropped to the 2nd **** round. But if his knees get better (and it's very possible since he's apparently feeling MUCH BETTER know given that he's actually gone past his 16 month recovery timeline) he's one of the most talented players in the draft. Again...focus on the negative, nothing on the positive.

[qutoe]
I never directly stated any salaries and please prove one example where I completely messed up on assessing a team's salary situation. I don't feel I messed up analyzing your salary situation.
[/quote]

If you actually go through all the salaries of all the top teams you have listed you'll see that most every one of them have cap numbers are MUCH WORSE than mine. But you didn't. Did you? So keep yapping away.

I also don't feel Evans has been placed in a role where he has to try to do everything since the Kings gave up on having him be a PG. Also, one of Evans's problems is that he needs work moving without the ball and is at his best when the ball is in his hands and gets to drive. However, Evans is ultimately not as effective as he has the potential to be when driving because he could improve his ballhandling/passing a little more and more importantly his lack of a jump shot allows defenders to play off of him.

Oh for the love of grief...so having one of the best passing point guards in the game and a terrific passing big in Lee on a team that is pretty clearly uptempo is somehow not going to allow him to get the ball in a position so he can drive the ball? Honestly? This is the same nonsense that people missed about Carmelo Anthony with the nonsensicla he' holds onto the ball and has to go one on one and fail to realize the **** was able to score just fine (better in fact) when he was getting the ball in better situations, in a faster tempo, from better passers where he can still create his own shot. Attacking the basket, pushing the tempo...in Sacramento, the only guy able to do that was himself!!!! That's why the **** did it...himself for the love of pete and Moses Malone.

It has nothing to do with what Felton did last year, it's about how he would fit with the team, the coach and the style. In that respect Felton was a great choice and should be more like the Felton of 2011 than 2012. But he can't see that. No reason to appreciate something that's not done well. I can get my 13 year old to do this and she might not be any less accurate with way too much of this.

And Nowitzki was reportedly playing through a myriad of injuries including a bad back last season. So absolutely sounding his death knell is wey premature.

So apparently I have a team that fits well together, a defensive coach, the best player in the world, a young ELITE center, a solid bench, and I barely crack top 10?

Right on.

Appreciate the time though!

First let me say that I appreciate the work anyone does on here. It takes time and you really don't have to do it. So thanks.

With that being said, uhm I'm 28th? And it says my cap situation isn't good. My cap number is around $52 million. I only have Nene, Harris and Stuckey making big money. Yes I don't have a small forward, but I have guys that you can plug in that position to make it work (Anthony Randolph isn't a Center btw). I maybe don't have the team to compete, but I have talent and sometimes talent can get you where you want to go. I personally don't believe there are 27 teams better than I. C'mon Man. I know my team isn't the best, but I know damn sure I'm not the worst.

(Side note: I just haven't had time to come on here, but I'll try and do my pimpage over the weekend)

this simulation is pretty ballin. can do this online and create a league and stuff. doesn't have updated rosters today, but is leading up to the draft. apparently can download full rosters somewhere though, or choose to do post-draft rosters.

i started, but gave up. got frustrated. takes too long to flip through each team with all the videos and pictures. i'd rather just read what people have to say.

^^^

Agree. I said that last BAT. Its frusterating to have to go through them. Itd be way easier to just read names and do a little write up on each player then a summary at the end. Thats what i did. Im not wasting my time watching a video for every team and nor am i judging based on who has the prettiest pictures.

So did we decide to keep things private or just blast it out?

I've been swamped the past several days...but should have some time. And I'm with smoke...there's some real nutty judging going on. And I'll make sure that I take that into account when it's my turn.
