It is FAR less risky than what we did. We have very little to show for so many years having been out of the Playoffs. Even though the league has a system built in to help losers. All because we had this idea that we were better than we actually were.

It doesn't make me too happy, considering that the Clippers second unit pretty much had our starting lineup under control.. They have a great bench and all but sheesh...they didn't even need CP3/Griffin to keep ahead.

We're the 2 seed and we have massive cap space and all our first round picks in 2 offseasons. We took a position with no picks and middling assets, then turned it into that...I'm not saying there were no other options, but we were never in a position to build through the draft (not since the Eddy Curry and Jamal Crawford deals). When we finally do have that option (no future picks dealt so we can draft yearly), virtually everyone on the roster will be coming off the books (Felton, Novak and Shump are the only ones signed beyond).

yeah, i agree, that was a downer for me.

It's only been maybe three games that really dampened my spirits, this was one of them, might be on top of the list at this point.

Just give it to him already, only an injury can keep it away from LeBron.

What about if OKC takes the best record in the NBA?

Durant is putting in work as well, but not like that, he's only leading his team in scoring categories.

They need to get this one right.

When Steve Nash won the second MVP, Allen Iverson was top three on his team in almost every major category...he didn't come close. I think Durant deserves it if his team is the best team in the league. If they don't end with the best record then Lebron hands down. That's my opinion at least.

I'm also not with this whole "historic season" crap...Tell that to Wilt or Oscar Robertson.

Nothing will ever approach the levels of disappointment that I felt than when we lost against Boston. And then having Melo make an ass of himself. It was embarrassing.

I want to see how we play Oklahoma City and maybe the Nuggets one more time before I make any statements on where this team really is at.

Gallo is not efficient though. Building a team around him and Amar'e was never going to get it done.

Lin on the other hand ....

I'm not saying Durant shouldn't get any consideration, he definitely should......he's real close.

But everything that Durant is doing, LeBron is, and much better, and he's actually covering up some of the teams weaknesses in passing and rebounding.

And LeBron is doing it without a free throw parade.

Also I'm positive they will look at head to head matchups and LeBron outplayed Durant in that area as well so far.

I know that they're not a great team, but they've been protecting their home court, and I want to see us beat a good team that's on a roll.

Even when Denver was the 8th seed, they had very good home records.

That altitude kills a visitor, it's historic of just about every Denver franchise, in the other sports as well.

I feel you, I just don't buy in to the "they have to get this right" thing. They've pretty much never gone by "best in the nba." It's been "best player on best team" or "best media story" pretty often; D-Rose, Nash (both times), Dirk...hell, remember when Robinson robbed Hakeem?

i think you're right. lebron should win this every year. but durant will win if okc has the best record. it's just how they do it.

I definitely agree they look at other factors, but i doubt Durant gets it.

Michael Jordan will forever be the most overrated player in NBA history. There are at least 4 players in the NBA today that could have won the amount of championships that Jordan won had they been in a similar position.

People seem to deitize him because he did most of his winning in an era that saw very few dominant shooting guards. But in today's NBA Michael Jordan would just be another superstar at the backcourt position.

Jordan had a few things working in his favor when he played. But had he played most of his career in the era of Magic and Bird he would also have not had the success that he did in the 90's.
