Ya how has it bitten us in ass? We traded a pick that wasn't ours for bargs
And this years pick if we at to potential should be in20's
Who cares name a super star to come out of 20's

And a real pg is one who can beat someone off dribble and stick his man

If you watch all the games this year we are always on our heels
Bc we can't defend pg
And we can beat them off dribble

A real pg can at the very least make the offense run smoother and take pressure off chandler when he comes back

Listen if you pay attention the knicks har stated what are plans are
Build through FA
We want love or Irving or rondo In 2015
We have th jr with Melo Maybe shump
That's a good core

YES

then we can re-sign lowry + bargs when the contracts run out, watch melo leave, re-sign tyson/shump, trade for derozan, and we can be the next raptors! LETS DO THIS.

FOH with your "yes." that team isnt a contending team or a team that is a lock to make the second round. im done risking our future.

Sticking to my optimism and instincts that it's at least lottery protected.

However I'll remind you guys that the Raptors gave up a mostly unprotected high pick to get him didn't they?

Billups, Melo, Brewer, AC

a great deal for Denver? its good because Melo was leaving anyway i assume but talent wise the Knicks clearly win that trade

it was Dantonis dumbass fault for not playing Brewer here either

You are leaving out a 2014 first round draft pick (which could be lottery the way things are going) and Kosta Koufos.

So if you look at Denver's team from that trade they have

Wilson Chandler (probably second best player on the team)
Darrel Arthur (used Koufos)
Andre Miller (used Raymond Felton to get)
Mozgov (who has played well for them this year)
Gallo

plus a first round draft pick this year and the rights to swap in 2016.

You can say that's not a great trade but at least put the facts up there.

the knicks are not missing the playoffs this year

Wilson Chandler, the same guy putting up 10 pts a game and has played 8, and 43 games the past 2 years? this is who the Knicks shouldnt of traded Carmelo Anthony, 3rd in MVP voting for?

The Knicks got DPOY Tyson Chandler from that trade also then if you want to put it that way

Melo + Chandler + Brewer + AC

Miller + Chandler + Gallo + Mozgov + late 1st this year

Denver won that trade? :rofl::rofl:

you people are delusional

Enormous upgrade over point diabetes

:-o dude, aside from this first 20 games, the last time he averaged close to those numbers over a full season was in 2010-11 and guess what, that team wasn't in the playoffs...no he's not a huge upgrade

@TimBontemps 4m

For what it's worth, Toronto GM Masai Ujiri is at Fenerbahce Ulker's game today where Bojan Bogdanovic is playing, per @ismailsenol

Really good thing about Lowry is he's durable. Has not had many injuries. Lots of games logged and still young.

Best PG since Lin :)

They gave up the lotto guaranteed first that was the centerpiece in the Harden deal which eventually became Steven Adams.

I'm trying to understand if you're serious. Are you being serious? Are you really saying the draft is worthless outside of the lottery? How many good players have been drafted from 15 and on? Furthermore, how many future picks did we trade that ending up becoming lottery picks did we trade under Isiah? We didn't have to "tank". We just sucked. We suck right now too. What makes you think they'll be good 5 years from now?

Your logic (if you can call this logic) simply makes no sense.

bro, you need to be serious. The knicks aren't going to just let Melo walk. He sells to many damn tickets and yes he gets his team to the playoffs (don't bring up this year because most likely once tyson is back and if the lowry trade goes down, we most likely are making the playoffs) so that pick we give up wont be a lottery one.

im simply using logic. If the trade is going down I have a simple question.

Would you rather trade shumpert to a 3rd team or just give the 2018 pick?

In a perfect world you don't have to trade either. But if you believe Shumpert will get out of his funk and Lowry is the key to pushing us forward, then I think you trade the pick.

I understand wanting to keep it because it could have value later on. But it's a pretty simple trade-off. I think you have to trade the pick IF this is the deal that you believe will put you over the edge, or give you the piece of the puzzle that will put you over.

Glad we didn't give up Shumpert. Lowry and Shumpert could be really good with a good coach.

But you get rid of the coach and figure out what kind of basketball team you want to be and then you start making moves.

Get a dude who gets these guys running. Even **** ty ass Felton is better when we run. Lowry, Shumpert, and THJR on the fast break? That's not bad. Get Kevin Love in here to throw outlet passes, and you got yourself a stew.

You earned that and 1 Mr. Weathers. I don't even agree with your post.
