while that is true Knox plays on the perimeter as well and he is an atrocious defender...Randle has no business being as bad as he is on defense...he just needs to care more especially if we want him to be a lead dog.

Kanter is a 5 and Randle is a stretch 4, Mitch will make up for some of his lack of defense and Randle can compensate for Mitch lack of a post game with his offense, you can’t play Kanter at the 4 with Mitch because they’re both centers who he can’t shoot at all, Randle would fit better

I'm excited to see Randle and Portis at the 4 with Mitch at the 5. You got two guys in Randle and Portis who can stretch the floor (Portis more then Randle but both still can) and Mitch blocking everything is sight at the rim. Taj also can bring the defense so i actually like that in the 4 main big men, we have two defenders and two very talented offensive players.

I'll be real curious to see how Fiz plays the 4 of them and not only them but Perry and Mills actually made Fiz's job really hard compared to what he had to coach last year. They've gave him challenges at every position and gave every player competition for starting gigs and to be the next man up at each position. Fiz has to actually coach this year and we're gonna learn a lot about if this guy can coach or not. We know players love ya Fiz but now can you not only coach a team with good young talent and still have each player liking you when they aren't starting or even next man up.

lol i'm not butthurt, it's so comforting knowing that you're nothing but a hypocrite that just didn't like kanter. the defense was just a reason to hate on him.

and what's more comforting is that other people now realize how you're just a couch scout like everyone else and have been the butt end of jokes when it comes to judging players.

just promise us all one thing this upcoming season, don't pull the same thing you did with trey burke. you know, when he had a good game you'd let us all know about it but once he had a bad game you magically weren't watching the game.

I think it's odd that people still think that if a player doesn't play defense then that means they're bad players. It doesn't mean they're bad players, it mean they're bad defensive players but the Blazers wouldn't of done as well as they did without Kanter once Jurkic went down especially in the playoffs. Scoring points and rebounding are two very big things in this league and Kanter is really good at both.

Has anyone ever even thrown shade at Mitch? Maybe i missed it cause i can't make it through every thread all the time but i thought Mitch was widely loved by all Knicks fans. Any Knicks fan that doesn't love Mitch should be put on the wall in front of a firing squad.....too much?

I'm not a fan of the notion that one shoots 3s, another one blocks shots, another rebounds on and on with individual players doing individual skills. The way to build a winning team is to have as many well rounded, multi skilled players as a team can get so no matter who is on the court there's players, even multiple ones doing it.
If you'd rather see your team fail so you can be right
...you are a fan of your opinion not the team.

Dam i'd love to get him but i don't think it would be a good idea with all the signings we've made and with Barrett and Knox needing as much floor time as possible. I still wouldn't be mad cause that dude can D up and has some decent offensive game as well.

if he was 2 years younger i definitely would, you're talking about the best perimeter defender in the nba and not just his position.

if fiz runs the same offense he did last year then he should be fired asap, knicks have shooters/cutters/passers to actually run plays like a normal competing team.

I know how good he is defensively but i'm still not giving up that much for him. Would be great to have him though.

So let me get this straight, and correct me if Im wrong, but you're willing to forgive Frank's complete ineptitude on offense while being totally unforgiving of Randle's defensive woes? :reporter:

Randle has been in the league for 5 years and is on his 3rd team. Frank has been in the league for 2. If he is completely inept on offense 3 years from now, I bet there would be a lot more people willing to give up on him.

Frank is 20 and was one of the youngest players in the league when he came in. I just feel the kid hasn’t gotten a shot and that is what hurt his development. I just think he has the talent to be a great role player

Some of you need to stop blaming Fiz for Ntilikina sucking. He consistently got 20 mpg, which were unearned btw, and was taken out of games because of foul trouble and poor play.

Let’s put something like this together and try to get it to Dolan or Perry/Mills

Us: Hi James - we're pretty good at drafting. We should get more picks in trades and stuff with our cap space.

Nah I would prefer they keep quiet. The media will twist it no matter what. I actually hope and pray we do not have a press conference next week for the new players.
