Love Dennis's mindset this offseason. Seems like he's gone through a complete mental reset this offseason. Every trip and every post has been about basketball. That wasn't the case in previous offseasons. Maybe it's all for show but I'd rather hear all the good things coming from him than not.

Now that his shot is wet so am I

Nice words. I'd love to see it backed up with CONSISTENT effort on the defensive end.

Don't worry, the wait may take 2 years off your life, anyway.

Pre-Season KnicksGod Frolics Under The Influence Post-Coachella

LOL

This is my typical non-calendar year:

May to September: Can’t wait for next season’s Knicks!

November: Knicks!

December: Give up on the Knicks.

January to April: Watch the Knicks.

May to September: Can’t wait for next season’s Knicks!

This is clearly SADOK. Seasonal Affective Disorder of Knicks. I believe that the psychology profession has a specific diagnosis for this, but as of yet, there is no treatment. It's 100% fatal, but it takes decades.

That's so weird. My guess is that there's some of that elastic band tape that's used by almost everyone today. But there's some purple and yellow thing goink on above the knee that looks like it came from Victoria's Secret.

AUGUST 28, 2019

Sam Amico
Sam Amico
Free agent center Hasheem Thabeet is working out for the New York Knicks this week following workouts with the Milwaukee Bucks and Denver Nuggets, a source told Ben Stinar of Amico Hoops.

Per Stinar’s source, Thabeet will work out for the Bucks again next month.

Thabeet, 32, is 7-foot-3 and was drafted by the Memphis Grizzlies with the No. 2 overall pick in 2009. He has also spent time with the Houston Rockets and Portland Trail Blazers, and last played in the NBA with the Oklahoma City Thunder in 2013-14.

“Thabeet spent this past year transforming his body and he has heard from multiple NBA teams that he is in great shape,” Stinar reported.

Thabeet carries NBA career averages of 2.2 points and 2.7 rebounds. He has also played in the G-League with the Grand Rapids Drive and in Japan.

I'm not buying any of it. We have a team in the mold of the times when we continually kept using our MLE on Shandon Anderson and Clarence Weatherspoon types. Only good thing is the short duration of those deals. In my opinion we have one fairly good player and two good prospects. The rest is still hot air.

https://www.investopedia.com/financial-edge/0710/top-pro-athlete-pension-plans.aspx

NBA
NBA players have one of the most generous pension plans in all of professional sports. They are vested into their pension plans after playing at least three seasons in the league. The minimum benefit for a player that retires at the age of 62 is $56,988 per year - not a bad retirement for a three-year career. The maximum benefit for any player is $195,000, and it takes 11 years of NBA service to qualify for this benefit.

But that's not all! NBA players are also eligible to participate in a league-sponsored 401(k). Do you think your 401(k) plan is good with a 50% matching policy? The NBA matches player's contributions up to 140%.
