Is he really on the block? We should go after him with the fury of a thousand suns. Good thing we just got all those bigs, eh?

Yeah, he’s someone that you instantly add to your core and never regret. Big man that can play make, dunk on your head, defend, eat glass and space the court.

Add LaMelo and Sabonis to this core and it’s scary. Sadly, I don’t see a chance of him becoming a Knick.

I think you and I are on the same page that the Knicks should be incrementally adding young pieces in ways other than the draft. Doesn't seem like the brass is on that page and we're just not prepped to make those kind of moves. Rookie scale and 1 yrs leading to max FAs is their MO.

Yep. You pretty much have their strategy down pat. I don’t HATE it, I just don’t prefer it.

I am glad we don’t have KD and Irving if RJ is as good as he might be, and he looks at present. Why have those two around with their injuries and sulking and ball occupation as RJ takes off.

Nah. No need. Not winning a title with Achilles Kevin. So no need really.

We can be the B team — we are the RJB team. Corny but true.

First we are obv the A Team in NY clearly and second, if the Nets had a healthy KD I’d be jealous and envious and say so. I call balls and strikes. They don’t tho and so I’m not.

Well I think the price for Sabonis to a rival like the Knicks will always be high. But can’t say it’s impossible or that we don’t have the pieces for a trade like that.

If he’s that good then put the picks in the mix.

I don’t disagree that their plan is probably a Max but you don’t think teams build some flexibility for trades like this and get taken off Plan A? Happens all the time — happens more often than Plan A happens. Like were the Thunder gonna trade PG and Westbrook for picks? I’m sure that was not Plan A or B.

It’s a read and react business. KP was not going to the Mavs by any conventional wisdom at all. And so you’d always have to pay for Sabonis — more if you’re the Knicks.

Overpay if he fits perfectly. I see way too much fatalism and I think it’s BFS. Certainly not aimed at you two only or anything.

But is he that good? I see a very fundamentally sound two way - role player. A very nice one but at the price of Knox and a first rounder? When we already half dozen bigs :) that can do what he does between the six of them. We need a point guard and or a shooter more IMO. Dont get me wrong I like him but I'd rather hold on to those first rounders for a star.

Our new Statement jersey is boooriiiiiiiing!

Unbelievable, NY seemingly just can’t have a good-looking alternate jersey. Our brand is stale and Nike is doing us dirty with those alternates. Like come on now.

I’m with you guys I like the new jerseys a lot. I’m probably gonna try to grab a Barrett in that color. I even really liked the ones from last year that was dark blue with a logo that looked similarly to the FDNY logo. I hope they bring them back this year.

So, guys younger than Randle or even Payton, both who are 24/25?

On the whole I agree with you guys, but taking chances on 2nd contract guys like Vonleh, Mudiay, Mario, Payton and Portis, and then going more in on Randle, is a form of doing that. A variation.

Also, I'm going to give it this year to see if they take back any young players IF they are able to deal some of these contracts.
