I could understand that. Would any up and coming democratic candidates be a possibility to take the reigns from her in 2024 in a hypothetical scenario? Like someone who isn’t quite old enough yet or not well established enough to be a household name.

I don't think any of the best new batch will be in a place to run that soon.
AOC, Porter and Jayapal are the trio that I think should be getting pushed into more and more leadership roles above all else. But none of them should be looking at president right away.

I'd LOVE to see AOC gain enough steam to push Schumer out but even that is really risky.

Porter is Warren's protege and bodies hearings the same way Warren used to and AOC does now.

Jayapal meanwhile had arguably the best M4A plan; pushed for a paycheck guarantee which helped a lot of other nations' citizens during pandemic lockdowns; and yet also seems like a good bridge from the Squad's progressive politics to the old guard Pelosi crew. She just seems to be liked by everybody.

I want all three of them moving up the ladder faster than normal.

I try to stay away from politics as much as I can because there’s rarely anything positive reported by networks, so forgive me if I’m missing something obvious, but what’s the scoop on Harris? I’ve seen the decision highly scrutinized although it seemed like it was a guarantee for a long time now. It still has to be better than the alternative of 4 more years of Trump, no?

It would be an ok pick if it was just for VP. But Biden has said he isn't running in 2024.

I think there's a 60% chance Biden wins 2020. And Kamala runs in 2024. And she isn't presidential material.

She's going to be VP.

Joe Biden is going to be president and he was the VP.

You don't like Harris maybe, but neither you nor I can say with any certainty how the public will feel about her as president after this next term.

This is where the hope for Harris resides. Her votes after getting into Congress have been mostly (key word mostly of course) solid and not reflective of her AG record (that one isn't pretty but zeitgeist is worth mention at least). I've mentioned a measure I use for politicians as either flexible or not and at a minimum; she's flexible. We can work with flexible and I think using the AG record might help us extract some strong prison reforms out of her in route to sealing off any derision from a presidential run.

I'm kinda losing my confidence again...

Even with the little talking Biden is doing, he's digging his own grave by making comments like "Latin community is more diverse than the black community".

He's falling into Trump's trap on the China stance.

A Kamala Harris VP pick will be disastrous.

Even my mother who was pulling for Biden over Sanders, is now saying it's an embarrassing if we have Biden during a pandemic because he's losing his mind.

Just overall, I think this Biden movement is losing steam. I see a lot of no-voters in November.

If I was Trump, I would give the Biden team a taste of their own medicine. Just don't talk nonsense. Get off Twitter. Stop the "fake news" attacks. Do your job. Right now Trump is losing, Biden isn't necessarily winning.

If this were possible, it would have happened by now, IMO

Trump is completely off his rocker and doesn't have the discipline to make that kind of change, especially now with his back against the wall. In fact, I think it's about to get much worse.

I suppose you're right about her "flexibility" but that also makes her unreliable to the progressive left because she'll just go with the whichever way she think she can enhance her position to be endorsed for the Democratic nomination in just 3 years. I feel that she's very calculating and very self-centered person who now will see herself in that Oval Office in 4 years overtime she walks by it. Joe better not let her near his meds.
