Felton traded to Knicks; Not matching Lin? (part 2)

God, this is like a horrible accident.... I mean like semi vs a family on a scooter, with explosions, blood, guts, tires, engine parts, innocent bystanders.... you name it. I want so badly to go on with my life, but I can't help looking at the disaster.

I hate the multitude of posts on these threads, and hate having to sift through all the swill and garbage to get real updates. I'm considering ignoring the majority. Paging Kane! Come on in and ban these fools.

This would be like the Knicks' apocalypse. I have a long view of this and a measured one. This would haunt the team for a very long time and spell the end of its dominance in NY.

If Dolan is doing this based on Lin's attitude amongst the other players and him going behind his back to Houston/plus the 3rd year and the tax, etc. then this is pretty nuts. Despite all that, you'd think he would still match him. Think about it guys, Wade and Lebron James, two of the biggest narcissistic players in this league can play together. Now we are running Lin off and throwing him under the bus because Melo, Chandler, insert player here, have a problem with him and we're scared of a 3rd year that we have two years to work around? Give me a break.

I agree with others--it is over if the media heads are turning on Lin like this. How could Lin ever fit back in now that the **** storm is coming down on him?

This is damage control from the top of the Knicks organization, or it is the ULTIMATE hand by Dolan. As in--

Gunna miss LIN but not worth that kinda money for only playing half a season. I still think LIN got a little cocky since linsanity, and now its biting him in the ass. Sadly, he barely will be noticed in Houston.

Wow if we really included Papa in the deal, then this is a terrible move. I know he's a 2nd rounder but why in god's name would we throw him in this unnecessary deal?

Felton had no value, I thought Jeffries and a draft pick were at least enough. At the very worst give up Prinetiz, the other Greek.

I find this hilarious.

Carmelo is a superstar who deserves big contracts. LIN played half a season and does not deserve that ridiculous contract.

The media is spinning it like Lin is going to suffer from not playing in NY... How? He's still making his money and he's still going to be playing basketball for a living.

Houston ain't New York. No one will care if he goes through a few weeks of great stats, or where that team goes like they would the Knicks.. And I doubt the off the court stuff is as nearly lucrative as what NY brings.

It don't matter... they already have the asian market cornered. He misses nothing if he plays in Houston... maybe the fans. Same court.. same game.

What player can the Knicks bring in that 3rd year that will be better than Lin, more marketable than Lin and worth that extra luxury tax? Because the Knicks will HAVE to sign some players. They will HAVE to add to Melo/Amare/Chandler. If its not Lin, its someone else. The Knicks will have to pay a lot of luxury tax if they want to support those three.

He said he couldn't run, cut, or jump and would not have been able to contribute. People with an agenda are too stuck on the actual number. He didn't use a knee-measuring device that pumps out a percentage of how good his knee is.
