rose tryna kick it. hahaha. i love that he loves us. i don't think it's about the money.

part of me would be wanting to extend him as soon as i felt the current group really turned a corner. like, if we look legit at all-star break... hard to not try and lock up a PG and save chips in the process.

The way I see it is, this core group has about a 3 year window of opportunity. I'd be ok with giving Rose a 3 year extension and seeing what this group can do in that time period. After those 3 years, Porzingis will just be entering into his prime at the age of 24-25 so once all the contracts of Noah, Lee, Rose, Melo (probably will look to resign him on a 1 year deal or maybe a 1+1 with a player option IF he decides to pick up his player option after next season)

So that way in 2020 we will have all the big contracts off the books and we can hit the reset button and start over. Keep our draft picks, so we will have KP + Willy + 4 first round draft pick players (2017,2018,2019,2020) going into free agency of 2020 with young players and a ton of cap space.

be nice if we could be a playoff team all those years so the young guns inheriting the team already know how to go to war.
RIP magnumt

thanks for everything, thibs.

Yes and it would make us a much more attractive destination to upcoming free agents. The Lebron James era will be coming to an end and the Eastern Conference will belong to Porzingis :)

Yeah? Let's be real, nobody has any idea what's going to happen after the Cavs are no longer the #1 team. The Bucks have just a good a chance as everyone else with a budding star.

Also Jabari Parker is quietly averaging 20 points on 49/38/76 splits, and they're still missing Khris Middleton

We all know GA and KAT are coming to the Knicks to join KP :D

Seriously though, imagine those 3 on the same team :o

You know how it is, we just see guys differently. Which is good. Maybe one of us is right completely but more likely it's a blend, but it'll be interesting to see. I don't think Antet is nearly as good as his numbers suggest. But we'll see. His numbers and age absolutely suggest big-time star. I disagree though.

KAT is crazy. At times he plays like a brawnier LeBron. His D needs to get better but it probably will. He doesn't seem to have standout defender potential. But if he gets that up to just good, he could be launched into space. Just really impressive. I think he's going to be better than Anthony Davis, another guy whose numbers are a little misleading to me lol.

KD. I strongly disagree with your evaluation of Antetokounmpo. He's only 22 years of age and considered as one of the NBA's top 5 young talents (on everyone's list). He truly is a freak of nature being able to play the PG, 2G & SF position(s) at 6'11 in height.

I agree about KAT but no way do I see Davis having misleading stats. This dude sometimes looks like a 6'11" Michael Jordan, I'm not kidding. Some of his moves and the ability to score on double and triple teams is insane.

Davis is a "freak" but I'm old-fashioned, I want to see a guy win before I put the crown on his head.

Yeah he's had bad teams but still. There is one advanced stat I look at first -- it's called W's and L's.

Agreed. I would thrown in two second rounders if I had to, but I would try to only trade one of them.

They can get a better deal than that

Dragic isn't good. The same people wanting him for Rose will end up being the same people upset when Rose is taking him to the woodshed while in a miami heat jersey.

Rose plays better than him so far.
I dont care Dragic's stats. He's mostly putting good numbers in losing teams. His defense is below average too. He declined in recent years.
Rose defended many top guards this year.
I know D.Rose have injury questions but Dragic isnt in top 20 in pg's so i'll pass him and his max contract.
