its clear they tanked the deal because they got cold feet so they knew instead of calling off negotiations ask for more money to rework the deal they knew Cohen would back out and its doesn't make them look as bad since he called it off.

sometimes just walking away from the deal forces a side to come back and get the deal done. Maybe its Cohen last negotiating ploy to tell the wilpons to stop f*cking around.

I wonder if the commissioner and other owners to step in and say.. you can't do that. Keep the original agreement and move forward.
