I would have broadcast to the other 29 teams that Luka is for sale. They could have gotten multiple firsts and pick swaps.

The league has been looking away and helping the Lakers since the beginning of time. Curious to hear how Cuban justifies this. Not saying AD is a bum but he's much older and Cuban didn't even give other teams a chance to counter an offer.

Luka and LeBum looks good on paper but Lakers now have zero size and wouldn't beat OKC, Denver, Boston, Cleveland or us.

lol LeBron is gonna bolt and get traded to golden state for Kuminga. He’s not gonna put up with Luka’s bs. And they went behind his back to trade his boy AD.

lol... luka's bs. i respect the hate.

i'm highly skeptical bron wasn't in the know on this.

At the start of the 2021 season, the Mavs had a 21-year-old Luka Doncic, a 25-year-old Kristaps Porzingis, and a 24-year-old Jalen Brunson

4 years later they got a 32-year-old Kyrie, a 31-year-old Anthony Davis, and a 34-year-old Klay Thompson

F*ckin' Christ.
BaF Lakers:

Nikola Topic/Kasparas Jakucionis
VJ Edgecombe/Jrue Holiday
Shaedon Sharpe/Cedric Coward
Kyle Filipowski/Collin Murray-Boyles
Alex Sarr/Clint Capela

Bench: Malcolm Brogdon/Hansen Yang/Rocco Zikarsky/RJ Luis Jr.

They'd beat the Knicks like a pinata.

Knicks couldn't do d*ck against the Mavs last year when it was Luka and Kyrie. This is a taller version.

I always thought Luka had his eyes on joining the Lakers via free agency. To me that was always a foregone conclusion.

So I have no issues with the Mavs being proactive and getting value back ahead of time, in principle. Foresight is an underrated skill.

But that's not the type of return you seek for a superstar on the verge of entering his prime.

Davis is a borderline great player but he won't lift Dallas to contention. And they didn't receive any long-term piece. They'll be a good team for a couple of years before they have to hit the reset button with no real assets.

This is the most puzzling aspect of this trade. Not getting at least LA's second pick. Not creating some market for him.

One thing Lebron hates is guys who are lazy af and don’t come into camp on top tier shape. If reaching the finals couldn’t motivate Luka to come back this year in better shape and play defense I don’t think anything else can. He has that diva mindset where he can do whatever he wants and nobody can tell him anything.

I think it’s true about Bron not knowing. Pretty much every plugged in reporter is saying the same things (shams, Marc stein, Dave McMenamin, Ramona shelbirne). This trade pretty much destroyed all of the lakers defense. Bron isn’t going to be too happy.

AD is the aubrey o'day of stars. putting up great stats on a shtty team that went no where.

this feels like protecting bron more than anything - but i'm in tinfoil hat stage. maybe this is the end of bron in LA. I just have a hard time believing that cause why would they trade him. he is strong for the brand. and i fail to see what GS could give them to make them better.

Ramona was on espn just now and said the lakers made this trade for the future. And then she brought up how golden state was trying to trade for Bron last year and it’s something we should think about now.

Hard to do that when we just got embarrassed schematically and physically by a team who just traded for a 25year old hof for peanuts!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We have no reason to laugh at them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We have just as bad a future as they do possibly even worse!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We have no picks until 2032 at lest they have 3 or four with arguably better players than we do(AD Is arguably better than Brunson and Kat)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Absolutely nothing to laugh about here guany!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Return to New York Knicks
