The Toronto Raptors pulled away for a 130-120 overtime victory over the Atlanta Hawks at home in Scotiabank Arena.

The Raptors jumped out to a 33-17 lead by the conclusion of the 1st quarter of the East’s opening playoffs round. However, Atlanta would come storming back over the final three quarters of regulation to tie the game and force the extra period.

However, the OT session was dominated by Toronto, featuring the stellar play of Rudy Gobert, whom was key to coming away with the “W”.

Jrue Holiday, Derrick White and Victor Wembanyama each left their imprint on the game among the starters. Likewise, the bench was led by large contributions from Michael Porter Jr., Collin Sexton and Bol Bol, in a total team effort.

The Raps take a 1-0 series lead with another game in Toronto on deck.

The Toronto Raptors blew away the Atlanta Hawks 109-84 for a 25 point home win at Scotiabank Arena.

The Raptors jumped out to a 27-11 lead at the conclusion of the 1st quarter and led 82-52 by the start of the 4th quarter. A stifling defense has continued to baffle the poorly shooting future Hall of Famer, LeBron James.

Victor Wembanyama, Derrick White, Rudy Gobert, and Michael Porter Jr. were notable performers for the Raptors. Bol Bol missed the game due to Injury but Christian Wood continued the Raps “next man up” mentality and filled in admirably.

Toronto protected home court and take a 2-0 series lead down to Atlanta, where the Hawks will be facing a near must-win game.
