^ yeah that's pretty smooth.... If you had told me those two would be the generals of this team along with Felton, this year, back in July before all the Lebron thing started - I'd have been pretty happy with that

Just referring to the Josh smith rumors..maybe a 3 way ?

Denver trade : Carmelo Anthony , Renaldo balkman , Chris Anderson
Denver gets : Josh Smith , Anthony Randolph , Bill Walker , Roger Mason , Kelenna Azubuike , Ronny Turiaf , 2011 knicks 1st round pick , 2014 knicks 1st round pick , 2011 ATL first round pick
I really believe that a really really good package for Denver.
Why ?

Get back a stud in Josh smith. pick up two great prospects in Walker and Randolph. Get a cheap big man in Turiaf. Save money with Buike. Get 3 first round draft picks. Also unload Anderson and Balkman Contracts.

ATL trade : Josh Smith , 2011 first round draft pick
ATL gets : Eddy Curry , Wilson Chandler , GS 2nd round pick , 3 Million Cash

Why ? Unload Josh Smith contract. Save some money this season with Curry Contract. We throw in 3 million to help pay for his contract. we sweeten it with a 2nd. Chandler will not set them back but he will be a good building block for them going forward. And they can look ahead with Joe/Chandler/Hartford.

Knicks trade : Wilson Chandler , Anthony Randolph , Keleena Azbuike , Eddy Curry , Roger Mason , Ronny Turiaf , Bill Walker , 2nd round pick via GS , 3 Mil Cash
Knicks get : Carmelo Anthony , Chris Anderson , Renaldo Balkman

Why ? Get Melo. Get to keep 2 of the 3 will/gallo/fields. Add a center that fits SSOL. Add a hustle player. We get what we want. We only lose 2 rotational players but get 2 back.

Felton
Fields
Melo
Stat
Birdman

i would trade him for a pick or a bigman we can use in the playoffs

Am I the only one who won't lose sleep if Melo does not become a Knick? Look he's an all star, he will make a team better. I just think the Knicks have bigger isssues. Size is important, more depth...getting another star that blends well with STAT. I'd like to see this Melo stuff come to an end. Obviously I want him to be with the Knicks, but if he goes somewhere else at least this whole thing is over with. I'm tired of hearing about it. The Knicks need to get bigger, tougher and lose Mike D'Antoni. Enough with the Melo stuff. I'm done with it.

I was watching Boomer and Carton this morning. Idk why cause Carton's an absolute moron undeserving of a job but they had Charles Barkley on. Barkley said, and was dead serious, that he didn't understand Melo's refusal to go to NJ. He said if he went there with Brook Lopez that's already a better team then the Knicks and that he really likes Brook Lopez.

That's so wrong on so many levels. For a great rebounder like Chuck you'd think he'd like a 7 foot Center to average more rebounds then the Knicks starting SG lmao And he's basically saying Lopez is better than Stoudemire since they are their teams best player at the moment.

Factor in Felton and whoever we keep of the 3 that's a much better team then Lopez, Farmar, Outlaw, and Mr. Kardashian.

I know Barkley has ripped on the Knicks since they traded Ewing but he's not even being remotely reasonable....Man that's TURRRBLEEEE

And another thing. How does Brook Lopez average 5.8 rebounds per game as a starting center and NOBODY (other then the people on this board) takes notice. It's like around the NBA nobody makes note that Lopez is a legit 7 footer getting over 30 minutes a night and can't average 6 rebounds a game. That's absoolutely PATHETIC. Eddy Curry the fat, lazy slob that he is averaged 7 a game his 1 full healthy season. Eddy Curry is the laughingstock of the NBA and actualy was a better rebounder than BLopez. What does that say.

Lopez is totally overrated. If NJ was smart they would be looking to move him for Carmelo instead of the rookie.

While we are at it Harris is pretty overrated as well.

He's talked about' along with Lopez, as a top level piece. As a great player at one of the two hardest positions to fill.

Yet with supposedly great players at the two most important positions they've been the worst or near worst team in the league for two years.

Yeah, real impressive.

Barkley must have stock in the Brooklyn project

Yeah the Harris thing makes no sense. He's a good player, but he's no star and he's 28. Don't see why he would have such appeal for Denver compared to the Knicks' guys who are 22-23.

It's some combination between anti-NY and pro-small team. But it's total BS. They should be talking about what an arrogant and inexperienced gm they have and what a total losing culture they have.

On a side note this wiretap article about Denver warming to AR and trading with NY is very exciting if probably just more hearsay.

If AR becomes a valuable commodity to them it could really improve our odds.

I'm still very much in favor of making the move now and then seeing what assets remain for a center or BU PG upgrade.

Randolph for Melo straight up....

btw, I find it quite entertaining how the Nuggets are interested in Randolph but they have no interest in Chandler.....who's running that team?

The whole point is these people are supposed to be pros in scouting NBA talent, how can a 7 ft center get less rebounds then a 6'7" gaurd and get more merits tossed his way. or a 28 yr old pg that is a horrible play maker just about reached his development as a player get more bites then a small foward that has an all around game and can guard 3 positions to boot. It is a anti NY bias plan and simple. You really can't over come bad publicity till you win and they are doing that now so it we get Melo great if not get me that center and stand the f out of the way

Even though AR seems to fit the mold of player Denver appears to covet, tall, athletic and raw, I believe the whole 'warming' rumor is just more postulation. Knowing the Knicks are on the brink of trading AR for a first round pick they let it slip they are interested in him.

For one thing this puts Walsh now in even further confusion about what Denver really wants in a trade plus it might also put the pick deal on hold until the Knicks can figure out if AR helps their offer or not. Plus it helps the Denver Nuggs save face down the road in the eyes of their fans.

So if they reject the Knicks offers they can say that the Knicks traded AR, 'well that's who we wanted'. The Knicks don't trade AR and it goes back to 'Well they don't have picks'. It's all just more facade to make it appear they aren't the ones who have no idea what they are doing.
