Actually, that would have been Melo's ideal home. He actually is Rucker's champion material, but in the NBA he is basically a stat-padder

That's nice to know, what does any of that have to do with being disgusted by a 60 point game that was actually efficient tho?

And that clown Johnny didn't realize we were worse than the Hornets at that time period

Johnny Hoops wrote:If I had to guess I would say that our most recent slide in defensive effort and yes it is blatantly obvious in past 4-5 games.....is that Melo has an issue with Rambis and is rebelling against what Kurt is asking him/us to do defensively.

When this happens Melo goes into his passive-aggressive "chick" mode and plays with half hearted effort that infects the rest of the team like a malignant tumor.

We've seen the same story play out over and over and over -- when Melo is engaged and everything is structured to his preferences the guy can play like a stud but the second anybody tweaks him he goes into vagina mode .... Dragging the team down into the abyss with him.

More and more each broadcast/post game is built around shots across Melo's nose --- his effort is obvious to anyone without blinders on and once again he is killing another team from the inside out.

I don't think it's just about Rambis. I think we can include Phil and Jeff in there too. A lot of this started when Phil publicly criticized Melo and Melo got all butt hurt about it and starting pouting. He did have two good games on the west coast trip - against Sacatomatoes and the Lakers and then has pretty much been poop since.

Well, that's why I only responded to that comment, because I have no reason to knock your enjoyment of a player's offensive explosion. Not my thing to slam anyone for digging that. If they didn't dig it, that's their prerogative too though.

I did enjoy Jamal's 50 point night at MSG. He was blowing on his fingers lol which was pretty funny

DE FENSE wrote:I used to love me some Melo, but now its painfully clear that he is the biggest problem on this team. Whether he likes it or not, he is a leader on this team and, whether he likes it or not, leaders lead by example. The example he has made this season, game after game after game, is one of "get yours at the expense of team basketball" and "take defensive possessions off so that you can conserve energy for the offense." This is in sharp contrast to what their coach and most players wanted out of this team before the season started.

This was Melo's chance to blend into a team with plenty of talent and just be a key cog in a well-oiled machine. He needs to take a long look in the mirror and be honest with himself. He can be a good defender if he wanted to. He is fully capable of doing the things that this team needs. And if he is in fact injured, well then he needs to be honest about that fact too and make sure he is not a detriment to the team.

If he's injured you're not going to hear about it until the day after he plays in the all-star game.

he has to reach his endorsement deal incentives, and being elected an all-star is most likely one of them.

We never had to eat our words when Melo was "killing it" because not everyone agrees that he has ever been a proper # 1 option. You can hero worship his glory days, but not everybody was his lap dog falling all over themselves to applaud his low efficiency, me-first style of play

Melo has the heart of a mouse, not a champion. He could never lead a team to glory. He thinks he's an alpha, but he is just a chucker with a false sense of entitlement

So nobody ever had to eat a single word spoken in criticism about Melo because some of us have always been right that you cannot build a team around Melo. The guy can be added to a team with other alphas if he would fall into line, but any team that is constructed around this diva is dooooooooooooooooommmmmmmmmmmmeeeeeeeeedddddddddd to failure

And enough of us have been right about this all along

Bon Appetit!

Your back again? Can I repsond or are you going to request for moderator intervention?

The fact is you actually sat there and took it this year after you went on another tirade when Melo played poorly, only to sit quietly and not say a peep as he went god mode against ATL. I don't even need to address past years where he alone came to play every night as the roster around him withered and died.

There are folks who want to see a rebuild because that's what they feel is best for the Knicks. Even then, they support the W's and cope with the losses.

Then there's folks like you. Who only show up after losses to thump your chest about how much Melo sucks.

Like I've been saying, there are fans ready for a rebuild. Then there are fans like you and a few others who are strictly here for Melo failure.

I'm sorry you don't live in a world where putting a scrappy roster around a top player will get you far. I'm sorry you don't have the guts to take the good times with the bad. I'm sorry your definition of fandom is finding a scapegoat.

To clarify, I'm not sorry for you. Im sorry for myself and others that have to deal with you and your soapbox squadron instead of being able to talk hoops on a forum with fellow miserable Knicks fans.

call his bich ass out. ruining the board with his dumb essays about melo every damn day.

All our other draftees have been Euros except Cleanthony and that's probably because Phil is old and thought he was drafting Carmelo again. Honest mistake.

Look, don't **** with me. I'm not watching that **** again.

I'm harsh in my critiques, but I'm actually nice to everyone except liars and hostile nut jobs like you whose whole life force is fueled by making up stories about "agendas"

You are the absolute King of Mischaracterization who says things like the bold above even when it is the opposite of the truth

Nobody cares what you have to say. I've alienated plenty because I stick up for myself when the majority doesn't side with me, but you on the other hand are a special breed of stupid that only other low IQ types can actually respect.

You're both a nut job and a liar who fabricates daily fictions about how your opponents conduct themselves.

You and a couple like you have done your very best to dominate and control this board this season so up yours.

Ya happy now you flipping agenda troll?

Attack the post, not the poster. If you guys want to get all personal about it, take it to PM.

Take that as a warning for both of you guys.

This thread is bad enough as it is with people complaining about this, that, and the third. No need for petty back and forths.

You guys been watching the same thing loop over and over for years now. You know what comes next. A run of good play that makes all this go away. Then another bad stretch that reminds us why we wanted to blow it up. Then another run of good play to close out the year that gives us just enough wins to miss the player we really wanted in the draft by 1-3 draft slots.

Hey, you know it's all good with me. I may never see another Knicks championship in my lifetime, but I got to see two as a 12 and 14 year old. And now through the use of modern technology, I get to commiserate over every agonizing micro-move this team takes.

Nah he drops a non chucking efficient 40 in a win and everybody will love him again. This Melo drama/ Fire the coach/ Fire the GM/ Tank the season...blah blah blah happens every year. It's getting old.

Team goes on a win streak however, and KP is suddenly a superstar (which he is by far not), Melo is a savior, Rose is back, and they all should make the all star team, make a run at Cleveland blah blah blah.

So are you saying that he's going to drop 40 tomorrow or is that strictly hypothetical?

Also no that's not what would happen. Melo fans will say "I never doubted the boy!!" Melo haters will simply not post, and the logical Knicks fan will say "Crap. Hopefully we lose the next 10 in a row."

I don't know about the logical knick fan wanting us to lose part. We should wanna win every game. We should be rooting for Melo and whoever else so long as they're on this team. I don't like what I see, and I'm hoping something happens to change the way we've been playing lately, but my original point was hypothetical. This board is up and down man. Love Melo one day, hate him the next. So yea, if we go on a crazy streak and guys start playing really well, then you'll be hearing about how we can pull an upset against Cleveland in the ECF from some of the same guys who have "given up"
