You don't go from 17 to 50 with new players on your roster... that's not possible.

Donovan Mitchell has odds to win MVP. I’d take some long shot odds on Randle or Mitch. Mic ... floor.

That's fair,to each his own i guess.

Im super high on this team rn anything less than 40 wins would be a huge dissapointment.

If that happens heads need to roll.

This team is too talented to win less than 35 games.

Im expecting at the least a 2018-2019 net's type of season.

Minimum 40 wins.

i'm sorry man, but what about this team gives 50+ win vibes to you?

It's a bunch of young guys and journeymen role players. There's no star on this team right now. Not sure why you are expecting a 40-50+ win team. I would set your expectations low to enjoy another rebuilding season. It's going to be a bumpy ride, although it will likely at least be more watchable than last year.
Thank you, Rick Brunson.

Clippers had a bunch of good role players plus Tobias Harris for half a season and made playoffs.

I would say Randle and a bunch of good roleplayers with some youngins with high ceiling is a similar if not better situation.

This season is where Fiz needs to prove hes a good coach

I would be shocked if we even cracked 35 wins

Y'all know how hard it is to go from being the worst in the league to being okay overnight?

Takes a lot more than Julius Randle and a rookie RJ. Cavs went from 17 to 35 by drafting LeBron, and he was one of the best rookies of all time. Expecting RJ to replicate that is setting yourself up for failure
BaF Lakers:

Nikola Topic/Kasparas Jakucionis
VJ Edgecombe/Jrue Holiday
Shaedon Sharpe/Cedric Coward
Kyle Filipowski/Collin Murray-Boyles
Alex Sarr/Clint Capela

Bench: Malcolm Brogdon/Hansen Yang/Rocco Zikarsky/RJ Luis Jr.

I'd be content with 30 wins with another 30 close, but competitive and entertaining losses plus lots of individual progress as they learn to play team ball and tough defense.

And then we go from the 7th position in the lottery and win the first pick just because the cosmos is a Knicks fan and can't bear to see David Griffin win it again

This.
The star trio/superteam thing is dead. The east has flattened out. Without three megastars we can’t win?
So is this Scott’s version of a tank? I think this is as competitive a team as there is in the league sans the obvious. I think we are used to being optimistic and having our feelings crushed so we aren’t really operating outside the vacuum of Knick fan heartbreak.

1-15 have legit NBA rotation floors and likely much more in expanded roles. Nothing soft on this team. Read that again. That alone is worth a spike in wins, playing at MSG with guys who truly get and want the moment and ain’t trying to be crash test dummies for NBA royalty to make history on. For every top dog in the east we have a guy to throw at him. Our young guys have very high ceilings. Maybe one or two make marked improvements.
Randle will likely play on All Star Sunday.

If the coach can coach and injuries doesn’t totally derail us there’s no way we should win less than 40. No way.

So at this point I’m trusting these guys. If Fiz starts RJ cool, if not, cool. If Randle is the center over Mitch cool, whatever. DSJ AND Elf starting? Weird but ok. Whatever. However. Just press the right buttons.

Show me that’s you know what you’re doing.
Show me you’re smarter than us.

I can see maybe...MAYBE...35+ wins with a lot of things going right. No way this team sniffs 50 wins.

I forsee randle being in the mvp covnvo and dsjr all nba, that coupled with the improvements of knox, mitch, trier etc anything less than 45 wins will be a dissapointment.

I wouldn’t be shocked, I’d be pleasantly surprised. I don’t think it’s an impossible feat and we’re definitely not as bad as that Cavs team. That Cavs team couldn’t sign anybody the year they drafted Lebron.

The Magic went from 25 wins to 42 from 17/18 to 18/19 and being in the East helps that. I think you suspect we just make a minimal improvement like 21/22 wins, I don’t think that’s fair either. We don’t know how good RJ & Randle will be but they’re improvements from what we had last year. As if Porter. The development of DSJr, Knox & Mitch will be huge. I think 30 wins is a realistic mark. Anything more and I’m very optimistic for the next season.

This is still a bad team. Get your heads around it. Randle is our best player, what's his track record? Point guards are all bad, wings inexperienced and inconsistent, a rookie will start, starting center is in his 2nd year and very raw. This is a lottery season. 25 wins maybe.
