I think he'd be a brilliant pairing with Brunson regardless of his perimeter prowess. Shooting-wise he'd still be a vast improvement over anyone at the C position now since he can shoot from mid-range well enough. He'd be a great player for Brunson to play off of in give and go action and for Brunson to dish to. And our defense with Davis and OG could just flat out dominate some nights.

No. Sam Rose won't let it get to that level.

OG will be a Knick for years to come. You almost have to expect some public posturing to throw off the scent of the already well established relationships OG already has with Rose and CAA. It's performance art first, then deal making follows.

Idk just think the window for star chasing should be closed. The team is at a place they should be taking steps to go all in. OG was the big trade. They sent RJ and IQ out. The Knicks FO knows way more than me, but don’t let the perfect be the enemy of the good enough.

I don’t see trying to integrate a “star” that late in the season. I don’t see us playing that poorly where we would make such a desperate move. And I don’t think that the Bucks will trade him for anything but a major haul that would damage our roster. There are probably other reasons that I can’t think of right now.

Rules for sign and trades changed. You become a hard cap team once you sign and trade a player I believe which restricts what exceptions we can use. I don’t see any positive trade scenario. We won’t be looking to take on bad money for some low pick.

In OG's case the contract structure is easy to me. It should be incentive based. Like around 30mill. guaranteed and then if he plays 65+ games he'll get an extra couple millions. Just hoping that OG is not seriously trying to get into that 40mill. territory.
