Why are Yankee fans obsessed with Alcantara? Where are we going to find the offense to compensate for 2 pitchers with 6+ ERA's in our rotation?

They will gamble on Gil. He's due back soon. Maybe Sunday. What pitcher would you go after?

I would go for relievers, and wait until the offseason for Skenes even though I doubt we'll have enough to acquire him.

The Marlins wanted Spencer Jones from us for Alcantara. Not that I wanted him here, but this is another example of a team trying to fleece the Yankees at the deadline.

Looks like the main piece was #8 prospect C Rafael Flores. He has been nice in the minors this season but its fine.

It hasn't been finalized yet. Medical clearance I believe. Would be a good move if it happens.

It's not a bad deadline. Right now, even being able to replace Peraza in the lineup and push Volpe down, is doing wonders for us...I can't believe we used to have Volpe batting 6th. We had so much trash batting 6, 7, 8, 9...having to carry that for half a season has really cost us our division lead, home field advantage in the playoffs, etc.

I need to give props to the FO for one thing. They got rid of DJLM. That's a hard ass admission to make...that they effed up, but they got rid of him. It's something they do more often (besides not getting themselves into these contract predicaments cause they're so cheap). That's the least they could do. If they eff up a signing cause they're being cheap, accept that it's a sunk cost, get rid of him, and then replace him.

Haven’t seen what they gave up for Doval yet but overall very good deadline for the Yankees. Filled a lot of weak areas and bullpen should be a strength now with a lot of quality depth.
