Are people posting their rankings on here or in another thread? I can do mine tonight if I know where I'm supposed to do them. Want to go by the way most people here agreed on which was doing top 5 in all different categories.

Let me say this boys in regards to the "bitching" comment.

1. There is a fine line between bitching and expression.

2. Years ago I would have taken "bitching" as a disrespectful reference. After almost a decade and a half of posting I've learned that everyone has their own definition of sayings/terms/expressions/etc. With that said I think some of you should be more mindful of others feelings and stay away from certain "expressions". Whether some of you realize it or not we are part of a family here to some degree..

And finally, I only "bitch" about the obvious and try to be "fair" first...

Case in point: My top 10 guys are arguable the best 10 any team has in this BAT--defensively, something that I believe is obvious and has been over looked. That alone will make my team stronger after an 82 game season... In addition to the other benefits of not only being "deep" but "deep defensively"...

Garnett is the only great defender in your starting lineup. Chalmers is solid. Pierce is helped by being on a great defensive team, he's aight. Meeks is good, Allen needs a bigger sample size, Dalembert is solid, Kidd is old but solid.

I just like the teams I picked ahead of you.

Chalmers isn't "solid" and if you cant see thru the jersey, I will end it there.. Faried and Mcgee went POSTAL on Gasol and BYNUM. Why is it so hard to imagine Garnett and Faried? Not to mention, Lavoy guarded Garnett. A guy who had almost TRIPLE amount of double doubles over BYNUM. Point, the sample size doesn't get much better than that... This is my reason for not putting up the rankings. Some of you just can't separate "personal-like" from fact. And if I thought I could get you to change that view I would go back and forth with posts but I wont- therefore no point in putting the time in to a discussion where the other poster has his mind made up... Not to mention, the numbers speak for themselves...

You didn't even know who Courtney Lee was. Believe what you want. I don't care. Don't participate in these if you won't put up rankings because someone disagrees. You'd think if everyone posts rankings it'd average out? But no one gives a ****. You have the best defensive team cause you say you do. Congrats.

bitch is just the word i use to say argue. my bad if its contrived negatively.

point is people like me wont post their rankings because there is always that someone that won't agree with their ranking. then, in addition to making the rankings you have to have long winded responses with them. its not worth it really.

I'm sorry I haven't been able to put up my rankings man. Case briefs for Contracts class are kicking my ass.

The most time consuming part for me is going to be judging best use of cap room. I'll probably judge it like this. If your team has not calculated it's entire team salary and posted it in the rosters thread, then your team will not be in my top 5 for cap. Also, if your team is BELOW the required minimum team salary, you will not be in my top 5 either. You can be over the cap and be in my top 5, but if you're over the luxury tax limit, you will not be in my top 5.

You're absolutely right, I didn't know anything about Lee outside of his name... But you better believe if I examined your team for "judging purposes". I would get to know him very well... My original point was your very point you made to me about Lee. Example, in one of your posts above you agreed that my bench was stronger than you realized. And I believe that's not the only mistake you and some others made. I admitted I didn't know anything about Lee. Can you admit some things? And if you are going to judge those are mistakes that aren't fair to make to fellow posters; my exact reasons behind mentioning that we need judges. It's a big responsibility.

When I said your bench is stronger than I realized, it wasn't a mistake. I took that into account in every category and it only came to play in win now.

Anyway, a lot of talking for someone who didn't even put up rankings. No one did. And according to rule, since I'm the only one who did it the right way, I guess I won.

That's precisely what I'm doing... Based on the rankings I have seen and some of the Gm's posts that I have read. I have decided that we need to examine the judging process.

I have my rankings done, but at this point why bother? Far to much bitching and at this point this thing is essentially over. I think we all knew going into the BAT it's about the building of the teams, not the results. Id say let someone run a sim on 2K and let that be that.

Gun to my head if I did Top 5 defensive rankings it'd go:

1: Hornets: Bynum, Duncan, Afflalo, Prince (to an extent) would be the run away winners and it's not even close as it'd take a really good transition/ fast break team to score on them and or a team w/ great halfcourt execution.

2: Bobcats: Rondo, Tony Allen, Granger, Millsap, and even the "Flopper" Andy V is a really really good defensive unit from top to bottom.

3: TimberWolves: Defense is the 1st thing that comes to mind when I see this team w/ Chalmers, Kidd, and Harden who are solid on the perimeter, then Garnett, Faried, Dalembert, and Lavoy Allen as post/ interior defenders are very solid defensive pieces.

4: Knicks: DPOY Tyson Chanlder, Jared Dudley, Haslem, Amir Johnson, Jeff Teague, and even still Raja Bell is a tough defensive squad, certainly not overlooked on that front by me.

5: Wizards: Rose and Avery Bradley will cause severe issues for teams backcourts and just settling into an offensive set will be huge issues for teams when going against them while Biyombo looks like a legit shotblocker in the paint, Caron Butler is still a defensive asset, and Ivan Johnson is just a hardcore ass dude, a throwback enforcer type guy.

Anyway, props to Fury, haven't agreed w/ you, don't agree w/ your Top 5 Defensive teams but at the end of the day it is YOUR opinion and that's all that truly counts and at least you expressed it and I really don't see what the issue is.

It's funny though because now it's really really coming across that guys won't post their opinions due to the backlash or because their team isn't the winner.

What's worse is now the cry for "judges" simply due to peeps not seeing others peeps teams as being better.

Just make a thread on the GB w/ a link for outside opinions, that's what I did on the Magic Board, got a lil' feedback but feedback nonetheless, reach out to a guy like SOUL who came here specifically saying he'd help judge if it's that big of a bother.

Anyway at least the draft was cool.
