The thing I don't get is why ESPN doesn't report on this. Now, my theory is because this involves a minor who was doxxed on social media after the story surfaced. However that still shouldn't prevent them from reporting the allegations while protecting the identity of the girl. Something is off about all of this to even where when Pat Bev brought the subject up on one of those lame shows where celebrities comment on the game, Kevin Hart looked like he wanted to piss himself. Clearly, there's some kind of mandate to stay away from the Kiddey story.
Malika Andrews is given her marching orders by ESPN's brass. She's not going to say anything on air that her bosses haven't cleared ahead of time, when she reported that Brandon Miller is an unindicted accessory to a woman's murder, that was obviously discussed before hand (and frankly, Miller should be in jail but that's another subject). I see guys on social media trashing her but she's a cog in the machine and the network has avoided the subject entirely. Is it racism? Is it because they're protecting themselves from legal action? I don't know. But seeing a bunch of guys dogpile on her over this doesn't sit right with me when these aren't unilateral decisions on her part.
Stephen A and Mike Greenberg both have bigger platforms and political sway within the company and neither of them have touched this story with a ten foot pole....yet the most prominent Black woman on the network is the one taking the heat for a collective network decision. Why?
