yeah. we won one of them ugly ones.

find different ways to win.

Game 2 - Feed Mitch in the post every single trip down the court until Celtic starters foul out in 2nd quarter

Game 3 - MSG hands out two glass coke bottles to every fan at the game. Hearing chants of "Celtics, come out and playyyyyyyy", Boston forfeits.

Game 4 - Hatch eggs planted by OG in first two games. Alien spawn bursts from Celtic players' chests.

RESULT: Knicks Sweep

Tom's mistakes with Karl were

1) Drop coverage. It shouldn't take until May 5th to switch on screens.

2) Not enough looks generated for him from 3.

But, he put up an All NBA level season regardless, so that's something too.

He was clearly bothered by foul trouble and the one way street was ridiculous. The positive I am taking from that Detroit series is the physicality this team faced. We look ready to dish it out right now and we always have to play through it.

The Pistons definitely prepared the squad for this round. It sucks that the refs now want to call ticky tack fouls for Boston when we were ready to bust heads open

That series brought last seasons Knick spirit back to life. I think the perfect symbol was Mikal speaking from the heart:

Everybody is claiming that the data says most of those missed 3s from the Celtics were wide open. It didn’t seem that way in real time. I’ll have to see if there’s a YouTube video of them.

Couldn't be me. I have been Thibs staunchest supporter and I never lost faith that we could beat the Celtics no matter what happened in the regular season. :o

Ok so if we advance it's more likely to play Indy again, we want revenge if everything goes our way.
Are you fans of the team or the player?

I just rewatched the second half of the game….the Celtics took a ton of 3’s because the Knicks bottled them up every time they tried going inside

Exactly... Any other series someone would say "the knicks took that away from them" except the narrative is so set the knicks will have to do it again.

The knicks have the advantage at bigs. Kat was killing them and then got in foul trouble. Then when Mitch came in they hacked him not to get possession but to try and force the knicks to not play him. They feasted on Precious. Between KAT and Mitch it was them choosing their poison. It also didn't help that the Mitch nonsense got them in foul trouble as a team.

I also forgot how KAT use to be a problem for KP when he was here. I don't know if KP is playoff ready at all and if he is, he has to deal with two starting centers who require him to do different things.

If you'd rather see your team fail so you can be right
...you are a fan of your opinion not the team.

yea i agree. i was shocked when i heared that 45 of those 60 threes are counted as "unconctested"

to me it looked more like 45 out of them were tough contested threes. but hey, we gotta trust the analytics :D
