The Nuggets are playing the Celtics now and Forbes is starting for Carmelo. I'm interested in seeing how Forbes does. This guy is a real talent and he's close to where he played his college ball.

Like I've stated in the Nuggets' game thread, this is how important Carmelo is to their team. So far it's looking like an early blowout.

that miami vs Utah game should be fun to watch as well..

I am looking at the nuggets, that is dead team walking... when your best player doesn't want to be there, it sure has a negative effect.. they should really look into moving this cat, pronto..

No doubt he's important to them, but I didn't think the Nuggets would look this bad without him. This is exactly why I don't see them trading him. Without him, they're a bad team. With him, they are one of the best teams in the league. They won 7 of their last 8 and though he has been playing bad, his presence makes a difference on this team. The Nuggets aren't getting any baskets now because they have no one on the floor that demands a double team.

Wow. He was playing healthy and they couldn't win, he's out tonight and they can't even be competitive. I don't see how he's gonna stay.

I couldn't agree with you more.

Other than 'Melo, the Nuggets' next best scorers are J.R. Smith and Al Harrington.

Smith has been playing very well ever since Karl took him out of the doghouse, especially with his shot selection and improved effort on defense. There's no doubt on my mind that he can score, but he does not have the same effect as 'Melo. Smith is very quick, but cannot constantly bang bodies with the big boys and finish.

And Harrington.. no need to elaborate. We've all had the pleasure of experiencing first-hand. Unfortunately.

They won 7 of their last 8 and that loss came by 2 points...

JR Smith seems to be having one of those nights so they will be competitive this game and may actually pull out a win.

OKC might come back and win this, but Minnesota's first half just shows why you can never discount a W due to an opponent's record. There have been quite a few games this year where the team the Knicks had just beaten came back and stunned a team with a +.500 record.

This is pretty standard for the wolves. We get ahead early and just cant finish. For example, the two games against the spurs were were up by like 15 going into the fourth both times and couldnt close it out. Young team and what not i guess...

They look the best they have for 3 years. Garnet seems healed and in shape and Shaq is a huge boost for them.

They definitely look like the favorites to win it all right now.
