George Karl says after shootaround he believes there's just as much chance of Nuggets finishing season with same cast as making big trade.

But Karl admitted watched Derrick Favors play in detail for the first time this season Wednesday. Favors possible key piece in a Melo trade.

I thought Melo would get traded here, but I'm starting to think that he's coming here via free agency.

Considering this has the chance to go on until June 30 (assuming Melo will take an extension from somewhere if dealt), this has the potential of surpassing the number of Lebron threads. Toss in the summer as well if Melo decides to opt for FA.
We'll probably bring back our old CP3 thread and add a D12 thread around that time too.
It truly is sickening.

When he wrote about Jennings, he had a point (though I disagreed). When he talks about how LBJ should have come to NY if not stay in Cleveland or Melo should come to NY, he still has a point. We are not talking about a guy who comes up with idiotic reports/predictions or someone who simply talks of his arse trying to convince people how NY is the worst choice for any given athlete.
It's not that he can't have an opinion it's that his O tends to ride the wave of whatever is trendy or conversational hype or that of frontrun. Yes he's a Celtic fan we all know this but he's been giving the Clippers/Blake tons of attention and they don't even have a winning record. He also wrote an angle last year of why Lebron should become a Clipper. Before the season started he wrote an article on how Blake Griffin is the most exciting player to watch in person after last year writing an article on Lebron in how he was the most exciting player to watch and guess who they were playing?.....That's right the Clippers

If the Knicks get a first round pick for the 2012 draft, one that isn't conditional or protected. It's for sure a 1st round pick in the 2012 daft, even it's going to be a 25-30.
Does that allow the Knicks to trade their 2011 and 2013 instead keeping the 2012 to satisfy the rule about trading picks?

If your Denver, waiting until June 30th is absolutley an option, but it could get very ugly, although you have to wonder--- Melo has been this paitent already, and he's so concerned about his PR image (logical speculation) maybe it won't get ugly, and just us fans will be going nuts.

The pick NY would get from Minnesota is most likely to be a top 3 pick. On top of that they want two of the three between Chandler, Fields or Gallinari. Nope I'll pass.

Karl on no Melo deal: "I think the chances of this team being somewhat what it is is probably just as much of a possibility of not being.''
I think Melo is willing to wait till free agency guys.

there is no way the nuggets let carmelo wait until free agency. if carmelo told them he wants to join the knicks, they don't have a choice but to send him here. if they let him stay until free agency and he still wants to join the knicks, they aren't getting anything close to what they might be able to get now.

Long Threads create a lag on RealGM due to RealGM's massive size. So Years ago a rule was passed that Threads that exceed 100 Pages are to be Locked and continued in new Threads.
You've probably seen it done too with other Threads, like GTs, Rumor Threads, or some of our themed Threads.
