deron has hinted at FA twice already, in ticked off comments after UT traded brewer
so after melo/amare, team has to be empty to ensure max space in 2012....hence unloading the team and filling it with vet min, expiring in 2012 will be the way to go anyways

Hinting isn't like LeBron publicly saying that he won't extend and he wants to be a free agent. However, my original point still is the same, you don't give up all of those guys today just because you might have to give them up tomorrow. You don't sell your car today so you can park a car you aren't sure you are going to be able to get tomorrow. You might need that car in a trade-in or you might be able to get a better deal for it later. It doesn't make sense to just give it away now. Especially because you need as many quality cars as you can get.

I heard from my cousin's girlfriend's brother who has a source affiliated with the guys who wash Carmelo's car that Donnie Walsh is waiting for Camel Toe Thread #21 before pulling the trigger on any deal. Supposedly the source is very reliable on the second Saturday of every month,
so take this very seriously.

Yeah i'm waiting to wake up to a Hahn tweet of " I thought the day would never come - sources saying Knicks - Nuggets on verge of an agreement" .. or a " [Breaking News] Melo a Knick! -- Mags " thread.

Some math I did.
We've had 15 threads full of Carmelo discussion since 13 was skipped. 100 pages per thread. Thats 1500 pages of Carmelo. Each page contains around 15 posts. That's around 22500 posts on Carmelo. Let's add another 500 posts for all other Carmelo topics that were not put in any of the main threads. Thats 23000 posts on Carmelo.
The Knicks board has a total of 1142517 posts at the time this post was created. That means around 2% of the Knicks RealGM board since the beginning of creation has been about Carmelo. That's kind of crazy to think about. I'm sure this would be even greater if we factor in the Lebron and soon to be CP3 / D12 / Deron discussions.

Word. Every morning I wake up, log on realgm, expecting to see "Carmelo Anthony has been traded to the New York Knicks"...then I just sit there a little sad inside =/

So, apparently, I have a little more patience than you guys. I wake up, check email and twitter. Make some coffee,
then I check realgm.

After the Utah Jazz traded his good friend Ronnie Brewer, Deron Williams seemed to hint that his exit from the franchise could be sooner rather than later. Speaking with reporters the day after the Jazz sent Brewer to Memphis for a protected first-round draft pick, Williams expressed frustration with the trade and hinted that he was ready to leave as well:
"That's why I signed a three-year deal."

lol thats pretty crazy. Now I wonder what posters average the most posts in the Melo threads. I bet its a core of 7 or 8 posters that make up 80% of the Melo threads.
