Those 20 seconds without a Melo thread were the longest 20 seconds of my life. I was almost literally, but not quite, exploding with Melo. True Story. -Jitpal

Best case scenario is 25 threads (at least).

I can't wait for this nonsense to be over. Since the beginning many have predicted it will come down to whether Melo wants to win or wants his money and that's where it has come to.

Yes. Trading the whole team for Melo would also be a huge fail. So the bottom line is that it's all on Melo to be smart, don't panic (like the rest of you guys are) and just say "thanks but no thanks" (to NJ). THAT is ALL IT WILL TAKE to have NY not have to give up the whole team, get Melo and have everyone (except Denver and NJ) be happy.

I agree. It's on Melo and the Knicks to get this done.. more so Knicks as far as i'm concerned.

Can't help but wonder what exactly the meeting with Dolan would be for, unless it's more with Denver mgt than Melo.

You figure there has to be at least one post Melo thread. Wherever he goes. More if the Knicks don't get him so we can have angry 13 year olds doing SAS impersonations. -Jitpal

I think the meeting with Dolan (which I'm sure Dolan or Walsh suggested) is simply to let Melo know exactly what I said..."just say thanks but no thanks to NJ, and we'll get you to NY". I'd actually be impressed if this is why and especially if it came from Dolan himself. My guess is that it came from "he who shall never be mentioned again".

Just warning you guys that when Melo and the Nets do meet every reporter will say how amazing and magical it was and how hard it will be for the Knicks to top it.
