"This league has a habit, and I am just going to say habit, of producing some pretty incredible story lines," Kahn said, while smiling, on Tuesday. "Last year it was Abe Pollin's widow and this year it was a 14-year-old boy and the only thing we have in common is we have both been bar mitzvahed. We were done. I told (Utah executive) Kevin (O'Connor): 'We're toast.' This is not happening for us, and I was right."

So now that Kahn has been officially bar mitzvahed..

With the 2nd Pick in the 2011 NBA Draft the Minnesota Timberwolves select...

DERRICK WILLIAMS, PF, ARIZONA

Kanter started out strong, building an early lead in voting, but a late surge saw Derrick Williams overtake Kanter...

I'm going to buck logic and say Kahn goes for Brandon Kni...just kidding.

But seriously, Kahn just strikes me as a guy that doesn't do the obvious (which in this case would be to take the sure thing and BPA Derrick Williams)....I think he'll take ENES KANTER

I go Kanter here as well... if Kahn was smart.

Kanter seems like the pick to me too. There's no other position that poses a need besides 2. I don't think he would take Williams with Wes Johnson, Love and Beasley in the middle. The better question is what do they do with Johnny Flynn if Rubio comes in and does good? I'd want him.

It's hard to tell with Kahn. He'll probably end up asking for a kings ransom for Flynn and end up keeping him. What's would be interesting is if Kahn fires Rambis and replaces him with Bill Laimbeer. Laimbeer is widely credited with helping Love take that next step and if they go with Kanter it really get exciting over there to see what Laimbeer can do with Kanter. Can potentially turn Kanter into a monster.

derrick williams - kahn has no problem making picks that don't make sense for his team - he may try to trade

Hmm true. Lambierr would probabaly jump at that op too since he's in the WNBA. If Kahn picks Williams he's a effing idiot. IMagine if the Cavs don't take Irving. You already know that fool would pick him up.
I still can't believe he drafted two PGs back to back in the lottery round.

Kanter. Williams indeed should go in this slot, but with Beasley, Johnson, Love, Randolph on board already he goes with Kanter.

Enes Kanter

I think 1 and 2 are set as Irving and Williams, the order there is the only debate..

Derrick Williams

Laimbeer has actually been an assistant coach with the Wolves the past 2 seasons I believe. He quite the WNBA in 2009.

Kanter.

Williams wouldn't surprise me, but like others have said, Kanter makes too much sense here. Kanter/Love/Beasley front court is very nice on offense (Kanter being the only good defender).

They go with Derrick Williams, although I'm sure he eventually gets traded for a vet.

Derrick Williams. Kahn takes a lotta unfair heat but he does a good job of gathering assets. With Irving off the board, there is no better one in this draft, perception wise. I think he picks Williams for another team.
