KB2011 MOCK: 6th Pick Wizards Select Jan Vesely

Seemingly on the perpetual road to respectability the Washington Wizards have a strong building block in ultra talented John Wall who they selected in 2010 after winning that years draft lottery. They have talent but lack continuity and true leadership, leaving them with what seems to be just a whole bunch of talented individual players. So...with another lottery pick in this years draft, who should they select?
Selected already1. Kyrie Irving
2. Derrick Williams
3. Brandon Knight
4. Enes Kanter
5. Jonas Valanciunas
With the 6th Pick in the 2011 NBA Draft the Washington Wizards select...JAN VESELY, FORWARD, CZECH REPUBLIC

I'm sure Kemba Walker is attractive from a BPA standpoint but IMHO, for the Wizards they really need to look at the bigger picture, about what types of players that fit from a team standpoint and what types of players they want to march out there to really make their fans have some hope for the future. Walker? Just don't think he's the right guy for them. Don't see Walker or Wall as a SG and having 2 ball dominant guards on that team is just asking for problems.
I'm going with Vesely here above Biyombo and Kawhi Leonard. Vesely has the highest potential of the 3 and he's a guy that will come in and do things that will help the team win and get fans excited. A terrific running partner to Wall.

I picked Jan but it wouldn't surprise me to see them take Leonard here either.

Picked Jan...IMO it's a toss up between him and Leonard. Really close though...

Why do I have the feeling people just go to Hoopshype and vote on who they say?

Not sure about hoopshype but Vesely, if he's what he's being billed as, is the best choice for the Wizards IMHO. Biyombo might be interesting but he's a risky pick (and they kinda already have a lesser version of Biyombo in Seraphin). Kemba Walker and John Wall? Not good, not good at all imho. That leaves what? Kawhi Leonard? Leonard would be great for a team like the Kings or Warriors would really could use more of a defensive component to their clubs but the Wizards aren't even as far along. Young may leave via FA and if they are smart they should be looking high and low to dump Blatche on someone. Wall and Vesely form the foundation of a nice tandem. Vesel may not become a star but he's still got more upside than either Leonard or Biyombo. The could go with Burks I guess...

Wow yeah you're right. I promise I do not work for hoopshype. And Leonard would be my guy for the Kings so that would prove it.

I Voted Vesely here.... No way does Toronto pass up proven ready talent in Walker for a guy that they have to buy out and who in my eyes isn't ready to contribute right away. This mock is starting to look bad.

I know they have John Wall but I'd do a 'David Kahn' here and go bpa with Kemba Walker.

I went with Vesely here. Most potential and could fit in nicely there. Maybe Biyombo but he is risky.

I'll go with Jan Vesely.
I do think Marcus Morris would be the perfect fit for them though. Him being undersized would be negated by McGee. Similar to when David West (Morris) was playing with Tyson Chandler (McGee). Morris would be ready to contribute right away, brings toughness, and would be a nice second option on offense for the Wiz.
