With both outside Visitors and regular Knick Board members alike constantly posting Trades all the time, and with the Feb Trade Deadline right around the Corner...we thought now would be a great time to finally unveil our official Trade Thread.

Would you guys make the following Trade if it were an option:

NY Trades:
Toney Douglas
Landry Fields
Filler to match Salaries

Sacramento Trades:
#7 Pick
Beno Udrich

@7: Draft Jimmer or a PG that may have dropped (Knight perhaps)
@17: If went PG at 7, then Draft a SG or C with this Pick (Brooks, Klay, or Motie).

Thoughts?

I would. Beno's contract is ugly but he's a good pg.

Jimmer, Brooks, Beno, + 2nd round big is too good to be true.

I would do that trade. At 7 select Kemba Walker, at 17 take Bismack if he's there....if not trade down with the Rockets for 23 + 38

Select Vucevic at 23 and go BPA in 2nd.

I would move up that high to take Biyombo, not Jimmer. Especially if we're getting Udrih back. Dont see the Kings doing that trade though. They can do better than Fields/Douglas even if Udrih's contract is bad and they're trying to save money.

Knicks Trade:
SG Landry Fields
PG Toney Douglas
SF Bill Walker
$3,000,000

Wolves Trade:
PG Ricky Rubio
#20

Any chance Minny bites on that? one of the guards at 17 and then Vucevic at 20.

I doubt they can get rid of a bad Contract AND get 2 great young AND cheap prospects in return. Both of whom play Defense and can run with Evans, Thompson, and Cousins. It also balances their Team more.

All it's costing them is the #7 Pick.

    Douglas
    Evans
    Fields
    Thompson
    Cousins

Looks good to me. :dontknow:

i would. beno's got a PO after next season, and his deal isn't all that bad.

personally, i wouldn't know who to take there. I'd be torn between bis, burks and jimmer. I'd probably go with bis, and hope that brooks is there at 17; if not selby or shumpert would do.

Udrih has an ugly contract and would mess up 2012 plans unless he was going to be used in a chris paul trade.

Anyone else think that Melo and Amare would restructure their contracts so Ny can do what Miami did with their big 3? Have them signed at a lower rate this way we can start building around the big 3 now?

I say we make a deal for Felton. We can probally come away with an asset with Felton for Billups.

No, NY would have to add an asset to make that trade. Denver doesn't want Billups back, he didn't fit the system. Plus Lawson is now the starter, the FO knows GK is a moron and would return Billups as starter.

New tweet from @probballdraft:

"Probballdraft Probasketballdraft
The Knicks are making a play for Omri Casspi. Knicks brass believe Toney Douglas and $3M can get it done."

"Probballdraft Probasketballdraft
Sacramento is open to making deals with picks to infuse cash."

Idk how I feel about possibly getting Omri.

Purely fantasy, I am sure.

Amare, Billups, for Paul, Okafor, and Jack.

Add whatever value NY has left that NO wants and take back any other contracts NO wants to unload.

Got the rebounding and defensive presence in the middle, Melo to score, and Paul to score and set everyone up. A much more balanced "big three" in which there are more defined roles. Fill out the roster somehow, and win some titles!

Sure NO wouldn't go for that though, any chance of it being possible would require a third team to send youth to NO for Amare.

Dude, you high? Not a knock on you personally, but you're last few posts have been borderline trollish in regards to our Players.

1st of all, you can stop undervaluing our Players, if you want to do that head on over to the Trade Board. ;) :D

Anyway, TD carries more value than Omri right now. He's cheaper, plays Defense, and would fit better there in Sac-Town.

2nd, If you don't anything about our Team...please don't spew crap as if you do. NY would NOT deal Amar'e in ANY deal for Chris Paul. And  @you thinking the Hornets would thumb their noses at such a deal to get Amar'e, and need a "3rd team".

Dude, are you high? I haven't said anything about a TD for Omri trade. Sorry, but you set yourself up good for that retort. It was another poster, and I thought that trade would have been a dumb one, personally.

If NO trades Paul, they are most likely looking to rebuild, Amare does not fit the rebuilding model. Hence the need for a third team, to bring NO the type of assets they want. That ain't trolling, that's stating a fact.

And I personally think NY would be willing to trade Amare in the right situation, if it nets Paul. As the finals showed, having three "go to guys" doesn't work. And it is highly doubtful Amare stays healthy for the length of his deal.

Right above your post is the TD for Omri trade rumor, and you open your next post with "Purely fantasy, I am sure.", and if you were using that line in reference to a Paul trade, you're then undervaluing Amar'e.

In other words, you're undervaluing our more higher assets.

Also, like I said above...NY would NOT trade Amar'e for CP3. IF NY did move Amar'e (which I doubt since it would be a PR nightmare), it would be in a Dwight deal.

In any event it's way to early to be speculating about CP3 and Dwight, etc. I just want to focus on Draft and Draft trades.

[EDIT: Also, if this happens that way it would help NY's 2012 plans SIGNIFICANTLY! : http://forums.realgm.com/boards/viewtopic.php?f=24&t=1121230#p28396730

Not saying I'd do it, but...

Nash
For
#17, Billups

Phoenix drafts Jimmer and a Markieff or Brooks and begins the rebuild process while remaining competitive.

Uggh, I'm so tempted by this...but 2 things:

- Salaries don't match
- Nash is a soon to be FA as well
