With Motie, I think he is trying to use some euro. humor in that he's just kidding around and doing a goofy type of response like we've seen from both Mozgov and Gallo at times.

I don't think Morris is kidding at all...this guy really is becoming Free Candy esque with this ego.

Dick thing for Morris to say, but he isn't off base. You don't want to model yourself after Melo on the defensive end. Who would? You want to model yourself after Prime Artest, or someone of that caliber.

This, pretty much. Of course, it's not something Morris of all people should say, but he isn't wrong.

Melo has to prove him, us, and everybody else wrong about his defense. He really needs to take it more seriously.

These guys are in for a rude awakening. Melo will get wind of this and hang 40 on these fools. One of Melo's biggest strengths is he draws motivation from these kinda things.

Was kind of funny though.

Melo's defense isn't good and I don't see him having a change of heart all of a sudden and actually deciding to play with a consistent effort on that end. He's been in the league for a few years now, safe to say he is what he is defensively.

Funny thing is we have guys like STAT who talk about how we need to get better defensively but he refuses to properly and consistently play defense himself...don't talk about it, be about it...and at this point I just don't think these guys want it hard enough if they're not willing to get in the defensive stance, stretch their arms out wide, and use their athleticism to stay in front of their man. Defense is all desire (for the most part), if you have the tools, use them. No excuses.
