Just wondering where the state of the board is now on this, since it was so popular a few weeks ago.

Given Tyson's play against Dwight head to head and Amare's play pre-injury, where do people stand?

I was one of the few who wanted to get Dwight because of the injury history of Tyson & Amar'e. Plus Dwight is the best center in the game but the heart the defense and leadership skills that Tyson has? Nah.

You can't ask the question now... how about in 2 or 3 years when Stat is in an old folks home. There is no question he's a girl (dwight) but he's a big young girl.

Trading Amare for D12 with Tyson still on the team is not good basketball management.

Let's not act like Dwights a bad player all of a sudden. He may be a primmadonna, but he's still byfar the best center in the league.

That being said, I wouldn't trade Tyson. Love him too much

I think Dwight Howard looks so bad now is because he is tanking it by not
giving 100% effort just to get a coaching change. DH and Stan Van Gundy can
not co-exist anymore, esepcially after tonight's drama.

Still would do Chandler and Amare for Howard and Turk.

Amares contract is worse than Turks. Magic would not trade Turk straight up for Amare. Amare and his deteriorating body is a ticking amnesty bomb.

If we got DH we would be hand s down the worst FT shooting team in the NBA. Imagine Landry, DH, and JJ shooting from the charity stripe?

Of course, you'll do whatever it takes to keep Tyson, he's heart and soul. But if Magic insist, you gotta give him up. We're talking about Dwight... he single-handedly makes the Magic teams of defenseless players in top 5 defense every year. He is the Anthony Davis of the NBA. He is DPOY three times because he is a monster... he blocks shots and changes even more shots.

Dwight's uneven plays have been due to not settling down long term. Opting in only makes him stay short term, but I'm sure in the back of his mind, he doesn't have Orlando in his long term plan.

If he accepts and embraces New York, committed and settling down, you can't say no to that type of player... or you're crazy and idiotically bias. Tyson may be the heart and soul but he is also 30 and possibly declining, Dwight is 27 and may be at beginning of his prime.

Chandler gives you what Howard does atm. Atleast Chandler knows his role on offense. You thought Melo iso Dantoni ball was bad, wait until D12 complains about lack of touches. Gross

Seeing what this team can do under the right coach, I am not 100% against that trade. Under D'Antoni, I probably would have been for it.

I don't like Dwight for this team personally. I just would never see it working. I like the combo of Melo, Tyson and Amar'e much better.
