Knicks Need To Look into D12

Before the D12 Bashers come running in to post that he is a "Baby" and everything is all about him, remember that a lot of people felt the same about Melo. When I look at Carmelo 9 years into the league, 1 things matters to him and that is winning a ring. Tonight he was 15-31 with 35 Points, 8 Rebounds and only 1 Turnover. Yes, he played his ISO Game, but with a Chandler who cannot score unless its a wide open dunk, and Amare who had 4 Boards and 5 TO's in 32 Minutes, it is clear that he needs help. Spare me the empty pre-season statements that Amare makes, because that is all he ever does. When does he not feel "Phenomenal?" When is he not, "Ready to dominate?"
Tyson just won DPOY, and Amare, in the right situation (Not NYK) can be effective to a team (18 & 8). I have no clue what the trade would be, or if it could happen, but all I am saying is we have to at least look into obtaining D12. People have to stop acting like they have not seen games this year where he has put fear into the eyes of Wade and Lebron from entering the paint. As good as Tyson is down on the Block, he is not the physical monster that Dwight is. The last time we got 20 and 15 performances coupled with great defense in the playoffs was from Ewing.
Dwight does not have the most polished offensive game (constantly debated around here), but he can get in the post (something we SEVERELY lack) and could be a great complement to Melo. Having D12 in the block would do wonders for our 3 point shooters (Novak I am looking at you). For me it comes down to something simple. As an offensive player do you draw attention or double teams. Did you listen to Dirk after getting swept by the Thunder? "If you want to be an elite team in this league, you got to have two or three guys who can go off at any time and I just thought they had more weapons than us."
D12 and Melo will NOT get in each others way. Give D12 the low post and Melo the Elbow's. Let them work a 2 man game the right way. Amare and Melo are 2 Forwards who love the same space. Saying "Melo go to the right elbow & Amare go to the left" is not going to cut it. Scorers like that want the open space for offensive freedom.
If we could somehow go to war with Melo-D12-Lin that would be incredible. Far fetched I realize but people need to put down the pipe in thinking that even Phil Jackson could make this work. Is he suddenly going to turn Amare into the low post presence and passer that Gasol was? Is he going to rebound the ball 10.5-11 times per game? The guy does not even box out anymore. It has gotten that sad. As a Knick fan I hate seeing players like Brandon Bass, Udonis Haslem, and Taj Gibson clown us every time we play their opposing squad. D12 would never let that happen. He is not perfect, but it is our best chance at stopping this Miami Team over the next few years.
