Why should he add a post game ? Woodson only wants him taking 7 or 8 shots anyway.

He should add a rebounding game, that'll be a huge difference maker

he should add a post game, work on his D, and boxing out techniques. I hope he hires Olajuwan or other great bigs of the past to train him.

Because he's useless only getting 7-8 shots. If he adds at least ONE post move this would greatly increase his role on offense.

Bingo.

Right now, Amar'e can only score in the pnr or an iso jumper.

He needs to watch some KG Boston films.

Regardless of what you think about STAT the guy is willing to put in 110% effort in improving his game. He's open to criticism and improvement. He knows the adjustments he needs to make and he is willing to make those adjustments during the offseason.

I'd actually like to see Chandler work on that baby jumper. That would help create some sort of lane for a Melo iso.

How long has Amare been in this league?

No, he will not be able to add post game.

What evidence do you have of this?

The only time Amare' has adjusted his game is after injury, and that was with the sole purpose of extending his career, although he didn't adjust anything to his game in a positive way after he injured his back with us last season.

All he did was stopped helping on the weakside defensively.

I still dont understand why amare is not on the floor alone carrying the scoring load while melo rests. I doubt its a lack of a post game. But if thats what it takes then so be it. We are wasting this guy and his contract. We need amare to be the 24ppg scorer we thought we were buying. He gets no touches. He gets looked off. He is not playing a one two game with melo. If all we need is a role player at the 4 who puts up 15ppg on 7 shots then go get one that is good at it.

2 coaches. And we still cant get these 2 guys working together. Amare is a mess. He dont know what to do when he gets the ball. He hesitates. He dont have that aggressive attitude about scoring anymore. Dude went from a animal to a passive fish over night.

Not to be insensitive. But maybe this dude needs to go see one of the sports shrinks like A-rod. His issue right now is above the neck and right below the hair.

last summer he should have been working on a post game just as much as a midrange shot in order to become more versatile. that said i can see him developing a fadeaway off his back foot. he should be working on sing more arc and lots of glass too. asking him to use footwork and up and under moves is a very bad idea.

Its a disgrace that KG is better than Amare at KG's age right now.

Bosh KG and STAT are built the same and have the same physical gifts. But Amare never thought a post game would help?

With his whole career under Dantoni and being in Dantoni teams is a reasonable excuse. He did have a great jumper. But if he comes next year without one then he would lose my respect.

with amar'e losing athleticism as age catches up, a post game is what will make him play another 10 years

Knicks would be better off having Amare come of the bench and backing up the 4 and 5 positions.
