If Lin gets traded, will you follow the new team?
With all these exciting talks about Lin's future with the Knicks, I want to gauge your interest about what you would do in case Lin get traded.
I understand that Lin will most likely remain with the Knicks, but the wise tells us that the future is uncertain and that is all we can be sure of. So in the case that Lin get traded, will you stop being a Knicks fan and be a fan of the new team that Lin joins? Or you will remain a Knicks fan? Or maybe be a fan of both?
As for me, Lin makes basketball fun, so I will definitely watch the new team that he would be joining. At the same time, I would tune into the Knicks as well. The biggest draw of being a Knicks fan is the community. There is no doubt that following the game thread is as much fun as watching the game itself. Well, at least when Lin isn't on the floor of course.

Now who in the world would stop rooting for a team after our player has been traded. I mean who could possibly do that?

Absolutely not. Lin is the heart and soul of my life.
If he gets traded I will quit watching basketball. You know what? I'll quit watching TV. And I'll quit eating. And breathing.

Without Lin playing our game is to basically for Bibby to dribble the ball to the perimeter and then give it to Melo to chuck a shot. It's not really fun to watch. I'd still support the Knicks, but it just won't be the same.

I'll support him as long as he's not playing the Knicks.

He started 25 games as a knick. If he happened to be traded I think I would survive.

OP is probably a Lin fanboy. Newsflash to the OP. This board isn't actually full of Lin fanboy Knick bandwagoners like you.

This thread is in some ways a microcosm of all that is wrong with this board.

Anyone that stops being a Knick fan if Lin leaves should just become Heat fans cause youd fit right in.
Honestly and IMO, if you are the type to not be a Knicks fan just because Lins not here, you should just gtfo now.

If Jim Dolan grows a second head will I be twice as worried?
If Michael Jackson rises from the grave will I be thrilled?
If the world's supply of chocolate vanishes will I eat dirt sundaes?
If another thread hypothecating events that won't happen appears will my head explode?

Anybody that follows Lin to a new team is an asian
. Lin is a solid starting PG but let's not treat this guy as a franchise player.

LOL, it is call grabbing the readers' attention. On web forums, the thread's title often serves as the introduction. And by grabbing the necessary attention, you can go to the main points and achieve the objective that you wanted to reach. My objective of course is to gauge the forum's interest.
Regarding the accusation that I am a fanboy. To that charge, I gladly admit that I am.
I am sure many on this forum are professionals, and for us, time is a valuable resource. And between competing choices, we often choose to spend that resource accordingly. As human beings, we choose according to our values (i.e. what we view as important). So it is absolutely normal to choose between, or to chose to follow both, according to our values.
