While it seems inevitable that Lin will be dropped by Tuesday, I believe that a few things might still happen that could change the mindset of the organization. The most important of these is MSG's stock price. If shareholders and investors believe the loss of Lin hurts MSG's profitability and future earnings potential significantly, the value of the company could conceivably plummet to the point where Dolan is forced to concede. As powerful as Dolan is, NO CEO of a publicly traded company isn't held accountable to the price movements of corporate shares.

As of today, MSG's stock price is at $36.59. Trading begins early Monday morning and ends by mid-afternoon. If MSG's value drops by at least 5% on Monday, we can probably assume that Dolan and corporate heads at MSG are going to reconsider dropping Lin.

the market does not work like that

there will be people who are waiting to capitalize on this notion and they have alot more money to play around with than your average Joe

that is what I have learned from trading stocks all these years

it doesn when you add other factors such as Linsanity ended the long standing dispute with the cable companies due to the demand from viewers for Lin... as well as top seller in nba merchandise
