Thompson: Knicks will win Atlantic, reach Conference finals

http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2012/w ... t=obinsiteYesterday, Ian Thompson did an Atlantic preview and has the Knicks first, winning the division, and reaching the Eastern Conference Finals.
Yeah, it's just another meaningless pre-season prediction, but it's probably the first time this whole off-season any national media member has given the Knicks respect, and expected them achieve this year. It's probably based on how we look this pre-season and I think the media is starting to recognize we are more likely to be an elite team than we are to be a mediocre team... some of you haters better recognize, too..

Uhhh...he also has Bricklyn ahead of the Celtdicks, so...there it is.
Obviously I hope he's right though.

Nice to hear, fwiw...
NBATV guys Smitty and Brent Barry actually gave Knicks some props in their "best and worst case scenario" for Knicks this year - both said ECF was best case, and 7th or 8th seed worst.

The Celtics will be solid...it will be a close race between NY and Boston. Brooklyn will be third.
