Just fire Vogel. .500 ball is unacceptable.

I keep telling these guys to pay more attention to our competition...none of the teams in the East look intimidating outside of the Heat right now. We could limp into the post season, get hot and make a deep run assuming Melo can get somewhere close to 100% and Tyson isn't in worse shape than they're claiming.

Very true, outside of Miami, everyone has looked like poop.

alot of the east teams are playing .500 ball as of late, some even worse than that.

If Shump can get his defense back (he's been improved lately) and Tyson can use his advantages on the Heat bigs...I think there's a puncher's chance. But it'd take a couple of other worldly games from Melo, at least one game where the three's go insane and then one more game where the Heat have a dud...I don't see the Heat putting up a dud but you never know.

Before his injury, I would have picked him above Lillard. But now he has concern for injury, serious or not, which would slow his progress. And his Dwight-like free throw shooting, combined with Lillard playing so well and being a gym rat, I'd have to pick Lillard ahead of him.

Knight is nothing special but could be a 6th man type of player. I don't think he is large enough to guard SGs and he is not a true point.

If they get a decent PG, SG, or SF in this draft they already have quite a good core.

agreed. i was also really high on drummond and have been real impressed with the way he's played this year.

if i'm dumars, i'm looking to draft smart, shabazz, or mclemore. next year tank and try to get another high pick -- draft class is gonna be loaded.

as for knight, he's always struck me as a combo guard in the mold of j terry.

If the Spurs are healthy, I think they can beat them...otherwise it'll take an injury (not wishing injury on them mind you, just saying that's what it'll take) or a team going on fire!

Which leads to the question that I asked in the previous around the nba thread, why does the East seem so much worst than the west? The west has a number of teams playing good ball and some most of it's top 8 teams are well positioned to do well into the future. In the east I see a lot of old teams or teams with serious issues and/or bloated payrolls. In the top 8 in the East only Miami, Boston, and Milwaukee are above .500 in their previous 10, while in the West, you have SA, OKC, LAC, LAL, Mem, Den, and Houston above .500 in their previous 10 games.

Harden was asked today about Lin's play last night: "It all starts with him. He's our leader. He's our starting PG. We move as he moves."

No wonder Melo wanted to ship him out ASAP

Harden has always been media saavy. But he knows he's the leader, the team knows he's the leader, and the fans know he's the leader. Lin is a mascot.

Yeah.. they should try and look at a bigger PG... who knows maybe someone like Wolters.. and let Knight play off the ball but guard PG's.

Why doesn't anyone do anything about this guy Kakaman? This dude NEVER posts in the game threads, NEVER says anything positive about the Knicks, NEVER ever. All he does is throw on knee pads for Lin and bash Melo at every chance. Then you wonder why I post so much about the subject.

i'm gonna be tuning in to every Rockets game instead of the Knicks until the playoffs start

Disagree with this, but Houston vs. Warriors should be a good one.
