Who do you want? Who do you think?

I have been watching the standings fairly closely and it seems like the Bulls are jumping on the program of "Face the Heat last" which is annoying to me. It seems like teams are looking to avoid the 4-5 spot with the exception of the Nets. The Nets seem to be locked in at that 4 spot and they have a non-challenging schedule upcoming.
My dream would obviously be:
Heat
Knicks
Pacers
Nets
Bulls
Hawks
Bucks
Celtics
This would mean round 1 Heat have to face the Celtics, round 2, the Bulls, and round 3, either us or the Pacers.
What I think might happen, due to Knicks horrible as always luck:
Heat
Pacers
Knicks
Nets
Hawks
Bulls
Celtics
Bucks
The Pacers, imo are a good team, but beatable, and the Bulls seem to have the Knicks number. What I could not endure would be Celtics advancing this year and the Knicks losing in the first round, even if the Bulls go to the WCF.
If we continue to win at a higher rate than the Pacers (on a 5 game streak of their own) we can assure ourselves Mil/Bos which makes us heavy favorites for round 2.

I want Boston. Less offensive players to worry about.
The Bulls have some annoying players that would piss us off, like Bellinelli and Hinrich.

2nd seed is really up to us. We don't need any help and it has little to do with luck. We have better conference record, lost one game less, and play against Pacers at home. The second seed is ours to lose.

It's really between Boston or Bulls IMO
Hawks will probably remain the 5th seed
Bucks will probably remain the 8th seed unless the celtics go into a major slump
Boston - Bradley may disrupt our offense a bit because of his defensive abilities to shut down players, but i like our chances vs Boston we have better bigs and Boston has no consistent shooter on the perimeter except pierce. Greene has gotten better and better offensively but i dont see him doing much damage against us in a seven game series and i feel Chandler/Kmart will hold down the fort against KG. Boston has no one that can stop melo either...
Bulls- I dont really want any part of their size in the paint, they go after every rebound like its a their last meal and get so many second chance points, they are also disciplined on defense and ontop of all that derrick rose might see some playoff action you never know... and last but not least do we really trust woodsons lineups against the bulls? will he still play melo at the 4 majority of the game or will he match the bulls and place Kmart at the 4.

Boston. I'm still bitter about two years ago. Scumbag KG tripping Toney Douglas to open up Ray, no call. Jeffries' stone hands blowing it in game 2, spoiling Melo's 42.

I'd prefer Boston. It would be sweet to send them home and be done with them.
Having said that, I say lock down the division and secure HCA to the extent we can, and face whoever we get with no fear.

http://www.nbaplayoffsbracket.com/2013/index.php#Miami goes through the easiest teams unfortunately. Oh, well.
I want the Celtics. If we can't beat the Celtics, we don't deserve to even go to the ECF. This team should be able to destroy the Celts. And if we do just that, we'll make a statement for once.

i think we will face the bulls because we have terrible luck
that'll be celtics in 2011, heat in 2012 and potentially bull in 2013
all the worst possible first round match ups out there on that year

I want Milwaukee. I've had my eyes on a potential Knicks vs. Milwaukee series for months now. It's not about pride and ego, it's about making it to the Eastern Conference Finals as healthy as possible. We've already taken the season series over Boston 3-1 and just hanging a Divisional Banner for the first time dating back to 93-94 has Boston fan's upset enough. We don't need to be the team to eliminate Boston in order to have bragging rights, we just need to escape the first round while they get thrashed against Miami. I know we can take the Celtics in 4 (5 at the most) but I'd much rather get Milwaukee while Miami is forced to deal with a veteran Boston squad once K.G returns. Why should Miami have a cool breeze against Milwaukee while our Knicks grind it out vs. Boston?
(1) Miami vs. (8) Boston.
(2) Knicks vs. (7) Bucks.
Who doesn't like the looks of that?

Seriously, we match up poorly against the Bulls. They ought to be the 4th seed as they are easily the 4th best team in the east. They are the only team that consistently give both Knicks/Heat headaches. I will be cheering on the the Bulls to win all their remaining regular season games. I just hope they have the same mission. I don't want them dodging the Heat.

i want no part of the bulls or bucks
bulls are great defensively
bucks have good role players(sanders, redick, dunleavy, ilyasova) and 2 guys who could go on a scoring streak which would kill you in a playoff series.
celtics are old and have no point guard to run the offense, leaving pierce with double duty which at this point of his career is making him not as effective as he should be.

Bucks are trash. Even Jennings said he doesn't want to play us in the playoffs.

the bucks?
jr and melo could also average 30 and 40 ppg respectively for that series on that defense.

Having to go through the Bulls, Pacers(without HCA) then Heat to get to the finals would be hardest possible path for the Knicks. The Knicks sure want that #2 seed to get HCA against a potential second round match up with the Pacers and to avoid a Bulls first round match up if at all possible. If I were to guess on the way it's going to work out I would think the worst possible scenario is the way it's going to happen. Just because.....
