I missed the game cause I was out with my family, just watched the highlights. Absolutely silly to do something that stupid when up by so many points. Hope he doesn't get a suspension.
Was it really bad? or maybe the replay just makes it worse?

If he gets suspended for that...well that'll just be the NBA being the NBA. I mean he gave him an elbow but it was hardly a dangerous play, just good old fashioned playoff intensity.

I think he will just because Stern sees how bad these playoffs are and just wants to make it competitive. Therefore he will suspend JR for one game and hope Boston can avoid a sweep.

If he recieves a suspension Knick fans everywhere should flood the NBA offices with emails containing the Garnett choke on national television GIF that didn't warrant a suspension.

Shouldn't have been an ejection to begin with. Wasn't even a vicious elbow...

Terry's little reaction was only more drama queen type of antics coming from these same Boston Celtics. Drama queens.

Jason Terry should have gotten a flagrant foul for the slap at the ball, and then going after him.
JR should not get a suspension for the foul.

The elbow never even hit Terry's face. He flopped, and then tried to go at Smith to elevate the severity of the call. I don't blame him... I'd mad too if I got this:

And probably get traded in the offseason.

He didn't even hit him. Just brushing him off. I had left by that point. Mork and Mindy. Flagrant f'n 2? Wow.
He won't get suspended.

I stand by my point of view. It is a flagrant foul 1 or 2, but no way it is suspension worthy. It was inadvertent. JR has absolutely NO reasons to tackle Terry or any personal grudge between them. The incident also did not end up with a brawl or something. No technical, no nothing.
Lastly, Terry FLOPPED. Celtics fan won't admit it, but It was a blatant overreaction. JR barely hit his face.

it was nasty - j-r overreacted to the overzealous slapping - but the celtic player embellished it as well. the flagrant foul call and ejection were borderline-warranted. any further discipline would be the nba trying to give the celtics a leg-up. that said, suspend him. and watch the knicks step up even more forcefully. this knicks team lurrrrrves it some adversity.

It's worthy of an ejection, not a suspension.
It was a foolish reaction by JR. But to suspend him for throwing an elbow. Give me a break. That would take the pussification of the league to a whole 'nother level.

He should get whatever Ibaka got for Blake's falcon punch.

It's not that bad, but if Stern see JR smile right before he did it like I saw
May be problems...
His smile reeks of premeditation.....

The only issue I see is the elbow was at head level and was clearly a retaliation.
With that having been said I can easily see the league suspending him for one game, to send a message. Should he be? Hell no he never made contact and you can argue "intent" all you like... if JR wanted to cold cock that scumbag he could have and would have. He sent a message sure, he never hit the guy nor in my mind intended to. JR even did the smart thing, and walked away instead of escalating it further.
He should NOT be suspended.

what are you talking about? JR threw a blatant elbow and terry def got hit. That was not a flop.

Not a flop? Did you miss Terry's over the top reaction after the initial "hit?" It's so apparent when you slow it down on rrplay. No one's arguing JR shouldn't have thrown that elbow, but that hit is nowhere as vicious as Terry made it seem.
